Mike , I'll be heading up from Kendal ,thinking of setting of about 10:30 am,. Don't know what Pete and Dunc's plans are yet but hopefully thay will be joining me as last year. Let us know guys?!
What are all you other Yorkshire folk doing? apart from count'n brass. The more the merrier!:beer:
Will meet you at Kendal Rugby Club as we did last year 10.30am:thumbs:
as I said, doing my own thing. You can join my gang if you want to![]()
I can keep my own council very well these days.![]()
Mary still comments on your under garments. The poor woman needed to take early retirement this year as she could not recover.:lol2::lol2::lol2:
I better not wear ANY this time then.
Looking at 2.00pm from DG for anyone in the Glasgow area?
Take care,
Frank
Not going thru Penrith Gizmo but we're prolly going Alston, Brampton & doing a refreshment stop just before Longtown if you fancy tagging along.
After that prolly heading to DG for mid afternoon so maybe catch Frank & anybody else there.
Where were you thinking of stopping for a brew Bev? I can't think of anywhere on the Brampton/Longtown road? Are you planning on heading to Gretna then up the B7606 Ecllefechan/Lockerbie/Abindon rather than M74?
if so maybe me YTC and DTD can meet you for a brew somewhere near Gretna. Would need to allow about 90 minutes to get from there to DG.....
Dunc/Ian, if you want you can meet at our place, means you ain't sitting at side of road waiting should one or the other be early, its 50 metres off A6 so hardly a diversion. We can then head up and try and meet Bev and Karen at either Longtown or Gretna.....

Lorna
Anyone meeting at DG 2.00pm...if it's dry we could go up via Dukes Pass in the Trossachs..which can be a bit tricky but is well worth riding if you've never done it before...
Take care,
Frank
Gizmo, my usual stop is on the Brampton /L'town road just before you get into Longtown, on the dead straight bit of road where you start getting the industrial units to either side. Garden centre is on left coming from Brampton, plenty of space for bike parking on proper car park, plenty of space in cafe for helmets n' stuff, armchairs to go to sleep in, clean loos & hopefully Scotch broth on the menu like last year to set us up for our trip North of the border.
Not sure yet of times, need to speak to TonyV but aim to be there approx lunch i.e. 12ish
Last year we were running lateso just hopped onto M74 at Gretna, might try to stay off m'way for a while longer if we have time this year
Times & route not set in stone so we'll see how it goes - if it rains in the West I'm gonna go up the East![]()
