Mad March Meet - have you warmed up yet?

Eek, despite the glorious sunshine today wasn't the warmest at Hartside, remind me not to wear and open face helmet and leathers in winter next year please :D

Nice to see everyone anyway, I lost count of the bikes coming and going although did notice TonyV turn up on his new BM'er 1300  Hopefully everyone made themselves known to each other and if nothing else it gave us all a reason to ride our bikes.

I've added gallery here and here is a selection from that

Had to go on a job today, stunning day !

Hope you all got home safe, Matrix signs at Junc 36 M6 are showing A65 East closed, it didn't come on Radio Cumbria Travel so called them and they said it was a very serious collision near Ireby / Cowan Bridge about 4.15.

Mad March Meet

What a fantastic day for the first long run out on the S4RS this year, bloody freezing on the way over the tops from Middleton in Teesdale though and somewhat sobering with the ice across the road in places and tons of salt blathered about. Anyway great to meet some new faces and see some stunning bikes. Thanks for taking a piccy of the S4RS Gizzmo, one for the archives. Got back intime to sit down to a roast dinner the good lady had cooked then spent a couple of hours in the sun washing and cleaning the salt off the bike. Just going to chill in front of the tele with a nice Chardonnay and the re run of the F1. Does life get any better!

Cheers Spagforth :lol2::lol2::lol2:

A good days riding even with the bitter cold (at least we all stayed dry :) ) next time I think I will leave the summer gloves in the wardrobe for another couple of months :o .

Rode up the A689 but after the snow and cold across the tops we thought the Barnard Castle / Staindrop road would be a better route home.

Was nice to finally meet some of you

Don't be gay! It was just fine and very pretty ;)

Boy was that chilly... it was warmer riding the bike back down to civilisation than it was chattin outside the cafe ! But a nice run out all the same, cheers gizmo for organising....shame I missed another "Tard" owner coming in when we were leaving (Geordie D by any chance?)
My mate on his Guzzi and I got back ok, hope the same goes for everyone else.

Enjoyed the Mad March Meet, I braved the snow and ice through Killhope and made it to Hartside. It was nice to see everyone, I like the new BMW Tony. :)

Yep, enjoyed the run despite the cold. It seemed a good deal warmer heading home

Good to chat as usual, and nice to meet newbie Chris (ChrisT4?) Maybe see you again on a run Chris.

Andy - post up some pics of your VFR when you get the chance? Is it red/white/blue? A mini RC30!

Yes, we went back to Leeds via Devil's Bridge and this had just happened when we passed at about 3.30. We didn't stop as there were plenty of helpers on scene already. It looked like a trike and others involved. Very sobering point on an otherwise brilliant day.

As a newbie to the site it was good to put some (freezing) faces to forum names at Hartside. I was pleased I had come up the west side when I heard about the snowy ride up from Killhope. Hope to catch up with you all when the sun is much warmer.

Hi Chris

Jayne was looking enviously at the (relatively) long seat on the ST4. She doesn't like the Multistrada in comparison to the R1200GS it replaces.
