Less is more- Single

I'd be beating the showroom doors down if Ducati produced something like that:) just love 500 singles, but guess apart from racers I'm probably in a market of 1

4! Been a few "discussions" on here over lack of a single and given oil prices and economy becoming more important to say nothing of 60-70hp in a bike weighing in at 150kg or less having plenty of performance for most riders in the real world then it would sell in sufficient numbers.
If an individual can come up with an economical solution to the alteration to lose a cylinder then how difficult can it be for the factory?

Sorry in advance could not resist it two well known forum members here anyone notice the big mistake :D?.

Scott

Wrong bolt on the exhaust bracket?
:lol2:

I noticed it at the time but didn't want to say anything in case you wouldn't let me lick the frame!;)

Flag is 'back to front'!

Also their combined ages are not quite 479 :D

Oh aye, and the 350 was an NH not a VH which was a 500, as was the better RH. :nerd:

It was 500 singles that I was on about ;)

Anyway, less bikes, not more!!

I know it was an NH but one Red Hunter looks like the next Red Hunter from my ignorant viewpoint.
Presumably the 500 loses oil quicker than the 350?:D

Ooh. Now, there's a coincidence. Having had a thing about singles for a long, long time, I've just paid a deposit on a 146kg supermono. Not of Ducati heritage, but still Italian - Who can guess what will be arriving in my garage at some point in the next couple of months?

CJK - you're not allowed to guess, because you'll know exactly what it is.. :D

Bimota Supermono biposto

Hi Scott - well done.. :)

Bimota BB1 - runs a BMW F650 engine (which I'm very familiar with already)

Great to see all the stuff folk have tucked away in their garages! :)

Seriously considered getting a Bimota Supermono a couple of years ago and saw one at Stafford for sale just about the same time.

Lovely exhaust notes off the Vincents.
