Wife sends him Red Cross parcels consisting of peanut butter sandwiches and new batteries for his homing device all dropped by parachute once he has been located on the helicopters thermal imager.........they usually find him miles off course having run out of petrol.

Well....what do you expect from a Picadilly Highlander? :dunno: :D

OK. The Laggan Express. This takes us to visit one of the finest stretches of biking road in Scotland, from Dalwhinnie to Spean Bridge. The clue is in the word "express" ;) . Many of you will be familiar with it.

I was thinking of a route like Crieff-Sma Glen-Aberfeldy-Dalwhinnie-Spean Bridge-Glencoe-Tyndrum-Glasgow/Edinburgh. The Highland Chapter could join us at Dalwhinnie and return up the Great Glen. The Glasgow, Embra and Fife chapters (or any other DUN folks for that matter) could meet up at Powmill Cafe for 10 (near Knockhill) for the run up Gleneagles to Crieff, and split off at Tyndrum on the return.

Oh, and there will be glorious autumnal sunshine too
