If it's still not a full on relationship (perhaps even if it is) take her for a meal somewhere nice and get her some nice flowers that will complement her colour scheme - on no account attempt to purchase flowers in lurid colours or from a garage forecourt - so she'll be pleased to have them on display

This thread was really to remind the boys to sort out the ladies gifts and allso to remind them that it was actually Valentines day !!!
If I am honest I have sorted my gift out, just need to pick it up and deliver it, only flowers but lots of nice Lilys white of course, bamboos, and all sorts of other big stems, I spotted she had some first time I went round, so have been to the florist and said what I want, she is going to sort it out and make it look pretty !

Ian, be carefull with Lily's mate.
I also love them, but for some who know the meanings of flowers a gift of these can sometimes be taken the wrong way.
Now, at my advanced age
what I'd love from AK would be a suprise meal out (with a phonecall first, so I dont start cooking straight after work as usual tho!) otherwise something pretty in the jewellry line (like Linzi says, some earrings?)
However, I just have to make do with a card if I am lucky now
A single rose is also often a lovely touch - I know my 21yr old daughter was bowled over by one sent to her at work last year, followed by a pair of earrings presented over dinner in the evening.
Champagne for breakfast is nice too
A big no-no is undies - in any form
for all ages.
Have a good'n little chap, I hope the lady appreciates you mate.

Obviously I love lillies, but some folks might not and be careful if she has cats as they are poisonous to them so have to be careful.
