) I've been video'd on trackdays, it's a great thing to take home, I might invest in one of those set ups!
Anyone got any ideas on the best stuff to buy?

My mates have just bought the daddyo of cameras, seemingly the most popular brodcast camera anyway, mostly used for porn
They are not doing porn but are starting a bit of a production company and I have asked if they fancy coming up to one of the Knockhill nights, they will probably have 2 cams by then, I may have a bullit cam as well so all footage could be sorted if I ask nicely and see how it goes, I guess they will want paying for the time taken in Final Cut ???
I will see what they think ?

iMac computer G5 for editing and DVD production, iMovie and iDVD are super easy to use. Footage from bullet cam like Freak has and a couple of static cams so you can watch entry and exit ,ooh, what were you saying about porn movies ian
, I can edit in iMovie and Final Cut pro but am slow and its ain't pro either 
Nip down to the Apple Centre Martin, ask them to demo iMovie on an imac and see how easy it is..

I did cancel the April date though. First one will be May I think!

Dont worry guys, the Majority that go arnt there for a race, most just take it easy. You'll have a great time, i loved my first track night even tho i binned it.
Just ask Martin to take you around for a few laps and he'll show you the lines & farmiliarize you with the track. (makes a Difference)

You'll need a video camera with "AV in" (obviously) for the onboard footage, I did quite a bit of research before I went and bought one. Basically the latest camera's are now either hard disk recorders or SD memory that are very small in size, but the frame rate is low (something you don't want when trying to get fast moving objects and durability, I doubt a hard disk camera can stand up to the kind of vibrations you would get from a bike) so eventually I decided to get a miniDV (tape) camera which was quite cheap in comparison as it's not the latest and greatest, although still a new 2006 model.
The bullet camera was a hi def camera, which you can get from various camera sites, I've yet to test it on the bike but footage I've taken so far looks good
