June 3rd, Aberfeldy Jaunt - RE-SCHEDULED June 10th!

Since there's nothing on for a few weeks, and it looks like the weather has sorted itself (for the time being) :D

I was thinking about having a wee run up to the wee tea room in Aberfeldy on June 10th.

THE PLAN:
Meet at Kinross services for an 09:30 departure. Follow the hillfoots to Stirling, then on to Callander. Pass through Callander and head up to Lix Toll to turn right towards Killin. Onwards through Killin and arrive at Aberfeldy town centre, park up and head to Country Fayre for some great home cooking.

After an extended munch, blether etc.. jump back on the bike and come down the Sma' Glen to Creiff. Following the road all the way back through Glendevon and arriving back at Kinross services for a cuppa before splitting up, and heading for home.

Who's up for it then?

Add your name to the list here

I'm beginning to feel 2007 slipping away already! Called Brooklands today and they say the tank won't be ready until next Friday...minimum! Then there's another day for the POR-15 plus another four to let it cure.

I tell ya...buying a bike from brand new is looking more and more appealing by the day! At least then I might get the chance to ride the feckin' thing :p

The forecast will probably change by Sunday. Wait till Saturday and see. Anyway, we'd only be stuck at home in front of the telly watching..er..oh, look.....Mugello MotoGP !. Not that true bikers would never give up a rain-lashed thrash up the Sma' Glen just for some race in Italy. Good heavens no. What would the world be coming to ?. Blah blah rant rant etc etc

Concerned of Clovenfords

the weather for the Hizzy run was supposed to be cr.. erm shall we say not very good either but it turned out to be a fab day ( with the exception of 15mins at the end of the journey - nothing new for me there ehh:rolleyes: )

Fingers crossed for sunday and lets get out and about:)

The forecast has been wrong everyday this week - we'll just need to keep an eye on it and make a more informed choice later on in the week - keep ya fingers crossed!

I didn't forecast the weather - I only took advice offered by the Met' Orifice.

Useless @@@@s!

And now they're predicting it's raining here right now. Clearly, more money well spent! :comp2:
