It's that time again, the annual pilgrimage to our spiritual home in the Andalucian sunshine, yes folks it's time to pack our toys and head off to the bike mecca that is JEREZ. Booked up for Jerez and bullied into Almeria in October :D:D So, who's IN for this one ????
 
FFS Chiz... your work life gets right in the way of things... :D:D:D Buy hey, it's September we need your oil and gas.... mind you we'll all have Swine Flu by then.... aaaaatchoooooooooooooooooooo :eek:
 
flights booked, couldn't get Globespan this time (no Thursday flight), so had to go with Not Very Easy Jet... anyway Fright No 6861 out on Thursday 24th and Fright No 6862 back on the Tuesday 29th - decided to stay the extra day, we'll chill in Peurto Banus on the Monday rather than the Andalucian MotoGP trying to get to the airport at 6am from Jerez.... Just in case a travelling companion sleeps in :rolleyes:

Anyway, paid extra for "Speedy Boarding", 'kin brilliant idea, you get to board the bus FIRST.... then board the jet LAST... well done Easy Joke, honestly, what a fabby idea that is for revenue generation... why not charge for going for a p1sh ????

Anyway, it'll have to do, the butler's off that weekend and I let him have the damn Learjet, b@stard tooke the Augusta 109 to get him to the airport too :rolleyes::eek::D
 
Damn it, I'm working and had been considering this!! :comp2::comp2:

We (Globespan that is) do fly to Malaga on the 24th, but you'd have to come back on 30th with them. ~£150 return....

Good luck with the speedyboarding, I've heard the seats on the Glasgow Airport buses are still brown velour - Nice!!;)

That's what it was, I knew the dates didn't suit somehow. I love the "Easy Scrum".... "Ladies and Gentlemen (unlikely EITHER travel with EJ) Easy Jet flight 1234 is boarding at gate 23..................... NOW..... followed by a run that resembles the London Marathon - HATE IT, HATE IT, will never forgive the butler for taking the learjet that weekend

clock is ticking.... any others seen sense yet and joining us on the finest track in world ever ????? Jerez is sessioned remember, novice, inters and advance. Anyone considering it should... afterall Jerez 2008 was my first trackday.... and I've paying for it ever since :D:D:D

Anyone not booked flights yet, best hurry up, prices have rocketed in recent weeks. It's also the Glasgow September weekend, so Glasgow - Malaga flights will be as scarce as rocking horse sh1t

not sure on the exact date but bikes are collected at Kilmarnock around the 17th September. Secure, professional and insured transport. They can also take most of the gear too, stands, tyres, leathers etc.
 
If I was not offshore I would be there.:mad::mad:

getting nearer... anyone new signed up. Looks like the usual suspects again, which means 20-25 from Team Scotland. Martin remember and bring your phone, we'll need it at the Chinese Buffet... and let's just leave it at that ;)

Who's doing Almeria in October, love to do it but really struggling for time.
 
FFS - 36 degrees in Jerez at the moment... yee ha, now that's GRIP.

indeed, now I remember why I've been up to our house in Lossie once this year.... went up in JUNE (first week) and had to stop before aviemore to clean the snow from the visor and get blood back into the fingers.... as they say in Glasgow - FCUK THAT.
 
Update

OMG - bikes away on Friday... followed by us the following Thursday. Just a quick reminder to get your track cover insurance at Trackcover.com. We've done a few of these now and really have got the hang of it. Other vital equipment this year includes:

1) Cool Box for keeping the water and organges cool in the garage.
2) PSP to help ease the Easy Jet Blues... or orange as the case may be.
3) More beer money, still hurting with the Euro, food and drink is pricey, 1000 euros a night should cover the bar tab.
4) New supply of T-Shirts, some absolute belters this year and a few "Scottish" items that leaves the origin of our pit garage in NO DOUBT.

ROLL ON JEREZ.... the best track in the history of universe

Don't know about shoving it in with the bikes....?

yep... was in Rhodes last week and paid 18 euros for a cold toasty and flat beer... thought I was back in Glasgow with service like that !!

We don't take beer to the track for obvious reasons... it's the bar prices back at the hotel Paul that just rip a hole in it. Shudder to think what we're going to be paying
 
trackcover sorted now... despite the leaflet stating £24 for 5 days, turns out now it's actually £37... inflation is indeed alive and doing well. That said, it is worth it as no insurance or e111 card covers you for "dangerous sports or track".
 
weather for Jerez..

just pulled the weather for Jerez for the coming week.... it's not looking good at all guys

it's looking AWESOME - Friday 34 degrees in sun, Saturday and Sunday a cool 30 with light scattered cloud
