January Run

Just visiting
We talked about it over Christmas but didn't do it. Don't know about you but I'm suffering from cabin fever badly.

Sunday 25th Janaury - who's up for a wee run - nowhere far, just a meet up, bit of banter, and a cup of HOT TEA somewhere.

Depending who's interested and areas they come from will deterrmine the route. Initial thoughts would be to meet up at Stirling Services (cuppa number one) - head off to Tyndrum to the Real Food Cafe for the BEST FISH SUPPER BAR NONE...

If that's too far - meet at the same place then head up to Aberfoyle !!!

I spent Sunday getting the 1098 back into road mode, moderate roads and the 1098 gets out - If not Hyper... c'mon, it's only weather !!!

WHO'S IN ??????????
 
If you make it to somewhere like the Rumbling Tum cafe in Moffat count me in to meet for a brew and craic. :D

David - your wise knowledge of the border roads needed here me thinks, might be best to head South, if it's good enough for the Geese, then why not us... it's warmer down South anyway :rolleyes: :D
 
Weather seems to be split east/west recently so if I were you I would plan two routes, east/borders or west coast and choose one the night before according to the forecast.:idea:

But that might lead to confusion which might lead to misunderstandings which might lead to heated discussions which might lead to falling out which might lead to ....:confused: :confused:

On second thought - disregard any suggestions I may have made.:D ;) :D

aye, nee discussion or attempts at compromise it just causes problems trying to keep everyone happy which we know we can't :) set a venue, time and you are either there or you aren't :) simple :D

Looks like it's you and me Robert, Sunday 25th January 2009. We'll let this thread run for another few days and get a feel for any others that may tag along.

We'll meet up at a fairly central location (as close to my house as possible) and leave from there, plan a few routes (N,S,E,W), depending on where the best weather is - off we go in that direction.

We always were going to try the electric brae ????

I'll ride in rain, cold, wind, general sh1te. Draw the line at ice and snow though.

I've been ridin in this crap aww the time through necessity and even though i've come through it unscathed, apart from general road rage at numpty's, and a few more exploded brain cells yur aff yur heid :eek: :D
 
Desperate times call for desperate measures,

I'm in so long as it's dry(ish)

Will check in later in the week to see how plans are shaping up
 
Rain or dry I'm ok so unless theres snow or ice on the ground I'd love to give the Multi a run. I'll check this thread fri/sat for any updates.

What would be a good Sunday run, eh ?. Maybe a nice trundle down to Philip Island for the International Australian Classics ?. I'll send some pics.

PS don't be getting cold riding about on your Hypothermotards up there in Brass Monkey Land will you..? :D
