There is always going to be someone at the front of the queue and someone at the end.

We try to work as professionally as we possibly can given the information that we have at the time. If you want to direct any anger at the lack of recent information - blame me.

I informed all of the dealers during October exactly where customers sat in the list of reservations. I expected this to be communicated to the customers.

I did not tell them when in the year the bikes were planned to be built. Why? because I did not want to build expectation beyond a realsitic level - given that the production has been delayed so many times in the past for various reasons.

One comment re Scottch: His reservation was made long before anyone elses. This was recognised by both DUK and the factory staff, hence the reason he got his first.

Its not blame that I'm pinning. This was always 99% tongue in cheek, 1% get a point across.
I have no idea where I am in any queue.
I'm sure there will always be someone in front, but for such an important delivery I would have expected to be salivating and crossing days off my calendar.
As it is the bike has crept up on us, and I'm glad to see they are out to customers soon.

Now all I have to do is get a PX on the XEROX sorted out!;)

mibbe its to do with the custom pink paint job, full ist of extras, new delivery address...that i ordered for you at wdw?? :D

ok so i may have been lying about the first and the last points there...the second...not so much - they did seem VERY excited to see 'zee first lady owner' ticking all of the possible extra's boxes!

yep - we can all vouch for Nic - she definitely ordered ALL the extras AND for it to be delivered to Monkton to "zee first ladee owner" :D

Well, it has been confirmed that the roll of carbon fibre and ball of string should be moulded in time for May. I managed to catch it just in time to change the colour from Fuscia Pink to Red but they appear to have specially ordered the pink hide for the seat! So I'll need to borrow some of Martins Grecian 2000 and dye it.

Jokes aside this thread has sparked a lot of debate and both positive and constructive comments. My point is simple, that in light of so much speculation and conjecture, it would have been much easier orchestrated if people who had placed an advance order were kept in the loop. The DUK loop and not the MCN loop.

Like Fergie, I don't know where I sit in the D16RR list either, but as a 999R owner who placed his order in December 2006, I'm sure that it'll turn up at some point when it's ready. I consoled myself by also ordering a 1098R and a KTM RC8. I don't know when they'll turn up either, but with so much to look forward to, i'm not focusing on one thing or another really. Anyhow, the weather is rubbish now so who cares. My money is on Scottch not registering his bike until 1 March anyway. That way the weather will be ok and he'll have an 08 plate.

I also recently bought this for a laugh. It's a 1690cc Screamin' Eagle Harley chop.

Are you really Pablo Escobar? :D

Have Fergie, Mike or anyone else on the waiting list been given any more info on delivery dates as a result of this thread?
