Its goodbye from me........

Well of course I will still be around, I have just had the call to say my Multistrada is sold, I am dropping it off Friday afternoon, so I no longer have a motorbike, let alone a Ducati.

Had a great few years since buying my brand new 749, 10,000 miles and a good few trackdays, onto racing in Desmo Due and owing the Multi for the road, as it happens I have hardly ridden it and it is somewhat derilect now, in fact its new owner was nearly weeping when he first saw her.

So thats that the end of an era for me, met some fantastic people and had some amazing times both on the road, scratching, touring, drinking Coffee to blasting round the racetracks.

So what next, umm I appear to have 3 weddings booked over the next couple of months and have some great people to photograph, busy with 'proper' work aswell so time will be limited I guess.

I am excited about life though and that is something that does not happen to me very much, also said goodbye today to a very dear ex - girlfriend, I always said I would wait for her, today I moved on.

Sooooooo, shout 'em up and heres to the new toy, eta FRIDAY :)

well, the good thing about the end of any era means its the beginning of a new one :) The 749 lives on in a new era of its own, mine ;)

Good luck with fotie stuff, you certainley seem to be taking to it well. See you snapping at race circuit soon :D

Never say never!!! I'm sure it won't be too long before you hear the thunder of a V twin and think... "gotta get another one" Good luck

Oh for sure, right now though I have no desire to ride a bike, so many people at the DD races yesterday asked if I wished I was out there racing - nope !
I spend all day everyday out on the roads and if I am honest the state of them is not conduceive for riding a bike, so I will make my million and leave the country ;)

well best of luck mate ....enjoy wot u doo when u do it and u wont go far wrong :D
dont be a stranger
asta la vista :lol2:

Before you disappear....any chance of that hair stuff you promised me about 3 years ago.......;) :D

You'll be bald before that rolls up Davie.

Glad the deal worked out for you Ian, I'm sure you'll enjoy the camera body a lot more at the moment though

Ian, many thanks for all the words of help and support over the last however many months and probably years.
Best of luck with whatever direction you find yourself going in.
I'll join you in a pint.

Fare thee well, and if for ever - still for ever, fare thee well.
Cheers

fcukin' hell man, I haven't even met you yet, and I feel we are/were mates!!! it was your fault that I became a member of this reprobates club and now you decide to b*gger off and leave me here to fend off all the insults I get while you go and buy all the toys that I want and can no longer afford - You'll have gone and bought my old 911 next!!! ;)

You shouldn't be saying goodbye, that's just not cricket. There's no reason why you can't still post on this godforsaken website. Hey, I don't own a Ducati either!

...actually, on second thoughts, P1ss off you smarmy basta*d; buying the camera body of my dreams. ;) :p

Goodbye was more about leaving Ducati ownership, I have still got the internet and will still be around, I'm not leaving the country :)

IAN, thanks for posting the pics of the plane near thirlmere, it made my day as an exiled cumbrian, who was a bit low at the time, and good luck in whatever you do!!:)

Have fun Ian, Hope it all works out for you. I've gone the complete opposite way. Looking forward to actually riding my bike this year rather than photographing them.

Speak soon and have fun with the 1D

All the best in things new Ian, just mind the auld sayin -- For we're no' awa' tae bide awa', For we're no' awa tae le'e ye, For we're no' awa' tae bide awa', We'll aye come back an' see ye. ... I,m sure youll be back on a bike in the future, the notion never leaves you, make sure its a duke.

I have a cheque in hand, Graham has got a good deal I think, paddock stands, spares, Baglux the lot but I got a nice toy on the way so I am blissfully happy - thank you for your nice comments, had a couple of exciting e-mails tonight so watch this space, maybe not this space but rest assured I will let you know if anything happens !

I have an awful lot to learn but always give everything 100% I won't be giving up the day job just yet, LOL !

I am sure another will tempt you back, well the tatt will always be a reminder, real pleasure to know you.

The barbie pics got me a bit worried though !!!!!!!!!

Good Luck Ian,

I hope some good bike photos will be appearing in the future at some point.

Well done for following a dream

Frank
