sorry to everyone that I have not been on here much. I have been fishing and managed to catch quite a few fish over the summer. I bought the wife N me a couple of Kayaks and we have put them to good use.
The final pic is the wife catching the biggest fish (Largemouth Bass) of her life. I have a video but this appears to be just a picture.
Last Saturday, we went deep sea fishing(200ft). We went out on a party boat with a couple of friends of ours, it cost $100 per person. All day, they provide bait and tackle and even clean the fish for a small additional fee. They take you out from 7am when you leave the dock till 4pm when you leave the boat. I am happy to say that my wife not only beat her personal best fish- the bass from above- but she out fished me by a lot. She loves to eat fish but dislikes freshwater fish so an ocean trip seemed like a good plan to get some edible species in the freezer. We caught Cod, Haddoc, Pollock, Hake, Dogfish and Red fish. Many were under the size limit and had to be returned and Dog fish are not a game species that people eat but we had quite a time and took home 18 fish in total. She managed the largest fish in our group with a 4-5 lbs pollock.
We are planning a retun trip next October, once we have our own fishing gear as the equipment the boat provides, althought adequate, was not great. Our friends go every year and have their own poles and gear and they are much much better than what we rented.
