Before rant, let us put my politics out there. I hate the Tory party with a passion, Always have. Labour would be the party I would want to vote for, and did here before the Brexit shit brainwashed the constituency and they voted in a Tory cow, who has no connection the the place and lives miles away. She needs Google maps to find Stroud.
From The Guardian, today:
That’s because economic truth is on the unions’ side: Paul Johnson, the director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies, says firmly to me that a public sector pay rise “is not in itself inflationary”: there are no prices to rise, unlike in the private sector. What’s more, he says, the sums involved to pay public workers are small from a total pay bill of £240bn. Each extra 1% costs £2.5bn.
This bullshit that we are fed that pay rises lead to inflation that we are continually fed by the Tories, I think is shite. Nobody says that taking millions out of utilities to deposit in tax haven accounts causes inflation, apparently, but awarding a pay rise to rail workers, in line with inflation is a big "No-No", we are told.
I hate being taken for a pleb, but that is what is happening. And giving a pay rise to nurses - you remember nurses? The people that the cnut Boris Johnson led the clapping for - would tip inflation to ridiculous levels, whereas Tories raping public finances is fine.
Confusing World!
