Imola Restoration

Just visiting
...well not quite a restoration, but my Imola fell apart this afternoon. I've got the stripdown down to about 2 hours. The heads are going down to Baines for new valve guides. The thing will get a full clean up then will be back together hopefully for Christmas (ready to go into the lounge again!!!)
No gremlins inside the engine, bores look fine etc. so I'm not going to strip the motor down any further than it is...

...all fun stuff. Still missing my fridge in the garage though. ;) :p
 
That garage is just too tidy for a bloke!
Does your wife do the cleaning or is there something you feel you should tell us?:)

...nope she won't go near it, I hoovered it yesterday just before commencing work on bike.:p I like to have things organised in my warm, snug, wind-proof, water-proof, heated, dry, carpeted, couched, sound-systemed, TV'd garage!!!!! ;) :p
 
We were in a certain Ducati dealers workshop on Saturday, Ed, that would make your garage look like a landfill ;)

It was @@@@ing spotless, the mechs had the hoover out between jobs and there must've been 30+ bikes in there.

The engine build room was almost sterile!

It was very, very impressive :hail:

...I'll give you landfil, At least I've got my signed photo of Samantha Fox on the wall - bet he hasn't got that!!!! :)

His probably cost a fair bit more than £100 to fit out too!!!! ;) :p

It is an ex-hospital bed! perfect for raising lowering, perfect width and takes the weight of my Guzzi California (251kg) so the feather weight of the Imola is nothing. Got if from a charity shop up here for £12.

Ed I'll send you a card - I know a few good ones in here who would gladly take up your case - we're pretty rural and not the big city types here so therefore we are very "understanding" ;) ;) :D
