Ideas for a Mid-Ireland bimble

Nah then, I need to get away for a few days the week after next, my mate ChezzyM will be joining me. Because he’s not got many EU days available, we’re going to get a ferry to Larne, have a bimble around the middle of Ireland and come back from Rosslaire, so we can return through Wales.

Do any of the community have any must do roads/routes, or must see places around the middle of Ireland?

If we do it the other way and enter through Rosslaire, do our passports get stamped?

I don't think your passport will be stamped entering Eire, there's an agreement since about 100 years ago 👍

Nothing really happens in the ‘middle’ of Ireland. I’d head towards Donegal via the Antrim coast road. Take in the giants causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge Bushmills distillery and the fantastic beaches of the west coast.
Get on to the Wild Atlantic Way heading south through Leitrim, Sligo. In Mayo climb Croagh Patrick for fabulous views over Clew Bay. If you’ve the time visit the cliffs of Moher in County Clare and then down to Schull for a cuppa with Paul.
There’s plenty to see and do en route, and of course drink many pints of the black stuff
