No, this is not a question but a recognition of how good and efficient they are.

My brother was checking his 848 over ready for it's first ride and noticed that it had developed a leak on the radiator. I knew that I had read something about a lot of people having this problem and advised him to contact Ducati.

He got in touch with our local dealer who 'had never heard of this problem' and as it was out warranty he was on his own !

I myself have asked this particular dealer about other faults, recalls, problems etc and they have 'never heard of this problem'. What they mean is they cannot be bothered to look in to anything as it is too much trouble.

I told him to ring someone who actually knows what they are talking about and put him touch with DG.
Within an hour he had a message back from them stating that a replacement had been approved by Ducati and they would order it in for him.

How simple was that.

Great service as usual Martin, well done.

i ve just used them today for the 1st time,£3.84's worth of order,2x nuts 2x washers........lad on phone was excellent,it wasn't a chore for him. even going to try and get them to me 2moro by sending them 1st class post,........very happy

I was looking for all sorts of bits and pieces when I was building my bike and if they had them I almost always had them the following day and if they needed to order they told me how long it would be.
Realised very quickly it wasn't worth my while phoning about to get cheaper or quicker.

Hold your horses boys and girls, theres another side to this tale.........

On many occasions I have selflessly offered to help them in the enhancement of business on the south east of scotland, I have offered to ride one of their 999r's at only the running costs for them to pay, and more than happy to have a sponsored by Ducati Glasgow sticker discreetly placed on it somewhere out of sight, 1098, 1198, Diavel, in fact i even stated i would happily provide my home as their Edinburgh branch , giving them a floorplan and everything and i was only looking for a fairly large salary for me and my family members, oh and rent for the use of my premises and a new coffee machine, not unreasonable in this time of austerity and remember they would have got the cache of an 0131 phone number. But did they take up my (even if i say so myself) very generous offers, did they nothing. nadda, zilch, not even a free desmo. hmmmmm

Thats really bad! Just shows you there are always two sides to the coin, I can't imagine why they wouldn't have taken up your very generous offer

It always takes 2 to tango, but I think that Gordj65 post only gives brief details/ outlines of a business possibility? However the business reality (financial economic climate) may have been different. Business details like this should be kept between you both.

The OP was talking about/ from a customer prospective of buying/ warranty of a bike, not a business deal of 'renting a building'.

I've met/ spoken to Martin and other members of his team, I would've no hesitation in trusting their expertise, abilities and above all knowledge if I were to buy a bike or other merchandise from them. Having had recent dealings/ discussions with them, I speak from experience.

Sometimes things work for you and sometimes they don't. Now that's life.!.

Well I would like to say I HATE DG..
Everytime I go in they fleece me & I leave with my wallet M/T.
I go in for their open day 5 years ago & leave with an 848 & all the carbon goodies.
Then last year "Kerrie" gives me & chineese burn & I come out owning a Bayliss.:):):):)

NO:- They are top notch. The lot of them. Even Harry Ha! Ha!
