Hopetoun house shiny show

Hopefully the weather will be fair on Sunday for those who intend to go, however,if it isn't, particularly on the way there that'll mean putting bikes on show which will be covered in road muck.
Any ideas if we'll be able to at least hose the worst of the dirt off somewhere in case it does prove wet? Normally I wouldn't bother but if this is a display then perhaps we should try and show off the bikes as best we can.

Any opinions?:)

Crossed my mind to,but even if we were to get a hose in say south queensferry(bound to be petrol stn with a power wash) the 1 mile ish road leading up to hope house after you come out of the housing estate isn't the best, single track ,99% tarmac but a bit broken up here and there. The Lambo,Ferrari boys will be stressing about it more I betcha :lol2:
Just get a tin of wd40 and some rags in a rucksack give the frame and rims a wee wipe over when we get parked up;)

Bit of advice from me would be for all to take side stand pucks. I seem to remember the likely area that will be used for parking up will be gravel. You might even end up on some grass areas depending on the numbers and who will get the area immediately in front of the house.

I,ll be bringing my bike in the van anyway so i,ll make sure that i,ll have plenty cloths and such to give the bikes a once over at least. Taking the van as the misses wants to come to this one too and make a day of it .

Copied from the other tread.
There will be marshals to direct you all to a suitable parking area, I will ensure that this is on the tarmac area. The main parking is on gravel, most of which is fairly solid and not likely to be an issue to anyone but I think it would be best to have you all parked up on the tarmac as Ducati side stands tend to be slender and likely to sink into anything other than concrete!

The organiser stated that he was locating the SDC on tarmac or a solid base.
He knew the issues with Ducati Side Stands.

There is a tap behind the pillars outside the front of Hopetoun House, just to the right of the front door (long story)
