HOLE IN REAR HEADER PIPE ON MY P/P 1260

I purchased a P/P 1260 2019 in april and it was popping/backfiring so i thought it needed re-mapping to solve the air/fuel intake. little did i know that there must have been a hole on the rear exhaust at the header pipe and the lambada sensor was picking up the difference. luckily the exhaust blew all the way around the pipe about 5mm from the weld on the manifold. i renewed the header pipe and the problem was solved, the bike is running much better and no issues with popping/backfiring. hope this does not happen to any of you guys/girls because it was a pain getting access to the 3 nuts for the manifold. i could not believe how thin the metal thickness is in that area,i just hope the front header pipe is thicker. ps, the weld at the manifold looked good quality ,so that did not cause the defect. happy new year to all.

Ray, did Ducati pick up the tab? Should still have been under warrenty no?
BTW did you take any piccies mate?
Happy new year dude (y)

i asked the question and the ducati dealer said i would not be covered
Did they actually give any reasoning as to no warrenty cover? I would not class the exhaust system as a normal ware and tear item, as it should last well past warrenty life.
Edit, who was your dealer Ray?

I've had a few headers fail on Mutley's... Sadly my content has been deleted at the other place.
Normally around the lamda sensors or a micro hole. Fronts, not a rear.
Mk1 and twin spark MTS1200.

I'm surprised the dealer didn't deal with it under warranty, is it worth dropping a letter to Ducati HQ?
