Hizzy Run Reports.

aw man it's braw the way yi blether Tazman absolutely braw it is :D :D

Great day out. Great to meet some names from here but cant now remember who (name tags would be good!) Nice to go on some roads I've never been on before as well. Just short of 400 miles in all and got home in the dark at 8.30pm. Thanks to Borderduc for leading the way so well. Only downside was the flock (brace? I dont know?) of pheasants that decided to take off right in front of me on one of the fast Alston to Middleton bits on the way back. One snapped the mirror clean of the Multi and another gave me a right whack on my dodgy collarbone. Excellent day out and its nice to get riding properly again.:)

 Lucky escape Martin.

In the first 5 miles of the day I had 3 or 4 sheep run out in front of me, one lost it's footing and nearly rolled under my front tyre. I have never seen a sheep look so scared.......

I hit the breaks and tried to steer round it... just about missed the little sod.

G-Scot nearly got it's mates just behind me....

yeah it really was an absolutely great day out - only made so because of the people who attended:) :) oh and the weather ..... oh and the great roads too :D

Martin I only found out who you were as you were leaving - sorry I didn't say hello :o

No probs :) Its hard knowing whos who especially when theres so many there. It would be 2 years since I last came up to Hawick and I struggled remembering names then. I hope folk dont think I was being ignorant as I did mean to introduce myself to a few folk but got talking. You know how it is!?

Paul, yes it was hard work with the suicidal wildlife, the later in the day it got the more all manner of critters were running out into the road. Typically it was on the fastest bit of my return journey where the birds got me, wouldnt like to say how fast but was in top gear and not hanging about. One of the buggers got me right where I've had the plate put in my shoulder and it near enough ripped my left hand off the bar. My mate behind said the pheasant just exploded, had all sorts of guts and bits all over me and the bike. Turned up at Middleton with me mirror hanging off the bike and me looking like I'd just finished a shift in a slaughterhouse
