Home safe & sound, complete with rear wheel :o

good to see all again & meet a few new faces, yet again too many to talk to all at once.

Hope everyone's home without incident

well not quite,Mafioso is hopefully on his way home by now in a recovery truck,battery/electrical probs....long and short it was dead and wouldn't bump start with the slipper clutch....My battery was slowly packing up throughout the day to,but I managed to bump start mine, got home with next to no electrics, didni totally abandon Andy by the way:rolleyes: I was riding back and forth to keep mine cool whilst he organised his recovery, with the light going I had to eventually make a bolt for it leaving Andy cursing and swearing by the roadside.I gather some of the westy crew met him to,poor bugger.

Apart from not quite managing to tag onto the tail end of the Rothbury gang I enjoyed the ride out(We did try to find you guys and rothbury but eventually said feck it and we turned fir hame)

oh no - sorry to hear the bad news, for both of you:( hopefully the problems will be minor and easily remedied.

A true belter of a run and we could not ask for better weather and company, Good to meet some more new faces, Brill day out and as Paul says we didni exceed the speed limit all day

Lynn' Thanks for the coffee, Very much appreciated :D

The Strathhaven to Drumclog road was still closed so us westies had to find another route home from Foxy's and Mary took us this little back road (well when i say road i mean lumpy concrete) but it was in better nic than Mary's farm road end :p

Mafioso: Hope your home ok mate, Feck i asked you at Hawick if you liked the new bike and everything was fine, Now this

Will try and upload some photies in a wee while, Got a good one of Lynn (I think) :p

...Glad to see I'm not the only one. I wonder whether you'll have a year of the pish ripped out of you for that one - or should that two!!!! ;) :p

Andy's bought a duffer and I didn't break it this time!!!!! :finger:
I would demand my money back of that wideboy from the island!!!! ;) :p

I was thinking the other day. Why do I spend my hard earned cash on something that I don't get to go out and enjoy as much as I'd like???

TODAY IS WHY I DO IT!!!!!
One of the best days, I have ever had on the bike.

Great to see everybody I met at the masher and some other new faces. Oh and there was a young person.
Paul I didn't break the speed limit at all today. ;) and I never got my knee down;) and I didn't wheelie out of every corner between Lesmahagow and Strathaven;) But you did give a sheep a minor heart attack.

Thanks for your hospitality Lynne. Hope the neighbours don't complain about the Black Bridgestone line up the middle of the quiet cul-de-sac.
Hope the bikes okay Andy.

Thank you all for a great day!!!:)

Hi, Had a good day out, enjoyed the ride. Unfortunately lost my number plate on the ride home, it was last seen heading towards Bev & Tony, North of Newcastle.

I'm feeling a bit worried now:o but I have one or two of you too James;) :D

No worries - at least they now know that I do actually have lots of friends with bikes :D

Second everything that's been said. Great day out.:D

Anyone know how many there were at Hawick?

Wish we'd had more time for a blether at Hawick but the Rothbury lot were gone by the time we got our grub.

Ride home was excellent, apart from the diversion, pot holes you could have hidden a bike in. Almost as bad as JR's roadend.

Thanks to Foxy for the end of run hospitality.:D

Andy, hope you got home safely. Bike is gorgeous,:D (despite the problems)

Another DuN success!:D

oh God, looks like I missed a good run. Some new faces there I see. Walter, I see you're surrounded by beautiful women (again). Don't recognise the one in blue on your left???? ;)

Can anyone tell me what happened to Andy's new SPS?

Can anyone tell me what happened to Andy's new SPS?

hopefully just a battery required

He'd been swapping batteries aboot or summit, hopefuly he's homeski by noo:eek:

Glad you all had a good time, looks great. Minor mishaps there but not catastrophic. Unlike my day. I've pedalled 35 miles round Grizedale Forest, munching energy bars and being very slowwwww.. My bum now resembles freshly chopped liver. Baboons eat your hearts out!

Anyone want pics? :D

Got home around 8pm after a great day. Good company and some excellent roads. Left DB at Moffat and came back with Kenny, Richard and his mate, Found Andy sitting by the roadside on the road to Newbigging - he'd been there for two hours with a flat battery but there's more to the tale about the battery which I'm sure Andy will fill in at later date. He let his recovery lapse via his insurance so I think he'd contacted a recovery company - won't be cheap. Felt sorry to leave him there but we couldn't help anyway.

I think we painted the town (Hawick) red today with such a good turnout in weather that was almost Italian. Each run seems to bring more new faces to the Thundering Desmo Clan of the DUN legions. It certainly turns heads when we roll into town - a couple of Desmosedicis, though, would give the orchestra something to compliment the bass section...

The Rothbury raiding party had a good blast from Hawick via Kielder. Almost perfect biking conditions and no Velocity Tax officers to be seen anywhere. Just glorious Borders biking scenery. Lots of beautiful vintage cars on the roads too, though luckily not holding us up. Half the group stopped at Kielder for a natter and then we all re-grouped again at Rothbury for a cuppa before heading home in all directions.

We had wondered what happened to Mafioso. Sorry to hear the bad news, Andy, about the SPS (Should Push Start..? :o ) . Seriously, I hope you got home OK. CJK too.

So....who's up for the Laggan Express run next month ?
