Help for hotel for Scottish show

Can any of you guys suggest a few decent hotels, must have a bar, (not interested in alcohol free B & B's) for either 3 or 4 of us who are working at the Scottish show in March please.

The closer the better.

Im trying to think but my head is fuzzy just now Shaun. How near is near and and much cheapness do you want? Theres a few nearby but they are expensive :confused:

Norton House Hotel is just across the road Shaun - I've never stayed there, but have been for a bite to eat in the past and the food was good.

Don't know anything about costs I'm afraid. But the number is 0131 333 1275

Also nearby you have a "Quality" hotel, call them on 0131 333 4331.

Lastly there is a Stakis, call them on 0131 519 4400

No worries Shaun - if we had been closer you could've had a bed here.

We (me, Joolee and the halflings) will be there on the Saturday.

Hoping to arrive as the doors open before it gets too mobbed.

If the sexy secretaries are gonna buzz, please make sure they have the barbed wire gloves on and have the baseball bat to hand ;) It all adds to the experience mate!

Next question where's the best place to go for a drink? i presume its central Edinburgh, if so anywhere in particular, and how far out of town is the show.

Davie will be able to give you a far better answer.

But, the show is right on the outskirts of Edinburgh - it's 6 miles approx. to the city centre.

Not long now! ;)
 
Where are you booked in to Shaun?? The actual show is right on the outskirts of Edinburgh right next to airport on the West side of the city. Im assuming youve got a hotel nearby the show.

Theres a few bars and places along the road at Corstorphine (pronounced Cor-stor-fin) which are new and look pretty good, shouldn't be any more than say £6-7 in a taxi. Its going to be a killer taxi fare if you want to get into town but if theres 4 or 5 of you it shouldn't be too much if you split it.
