Health thread

I don't know why the above happened. The last bit is min not Loz's
Remember when you went to a dealership to discuss servicing on your car or bike and the conversation somehow turned to buying this lovely new, pre-registered item with zero miles on the clock?

When you go to the doctor's, think of a car/bike dealership but without the scruples.

Had an appointment with a nurse on tuesday to remove dressings and check the surgery wounds. All good. After i was told that the doc wanted to talk to me so i wait around for 30 mins and it turns out she wanted to discuss my cholestrol levels and me going on statins. This is probably the 4th time we have had this chat this year..
Apparently their computer model shows that at my age, hight, weight, bad cholestrol bla bla bla i have a 15% chance of having a stroke or heart attack any day now!!!.
Last chat i had an 8% chance and funnily enough, my "bad" cholestrol was slightly higher then. What has changed? Didnt think being 2 months older would raise the risk quite so substantially....

Hugo can advise on how to address this issue.
He's recently learned on lot about this topic.

I am surprised your height was even on the chart, could that have skewed it?

I address jt by asking lots of daft questions like how come the levels differ by country and keep changing, could the medication im currently taking be affected by statins and given that im an alcoholic with a bad liver could that be raising these "bad" cholestrol levels. Stuff like that.
Meh. All she knows for a fact is that statins are 100% safe and effective and will save my life.

Lot of words with which to tell her to fuck off but if you have time, why not?

I like to let em go through the whole speel before i say fuck off. With my shoulders and a few other ailments, over the last 5 years i must have been to this surgery 20 times?
Anyhu, i have very rarely seem the same doctor more than once. I like to listen to their different versions of what is wrong with me and pick up on the inconsistencies. Especially with the statin thing.

Doctors have a chance if knowing what they are doing as far as injuries and surgical procedures are concerned. It's a possibility

Nutrition and medication though... different kettle of trout.

I see a surgeon, they get the time of day from me.
I see a doctor, like a GP for instance, I ask them first thing how they managed to retain their licence to practice medicine after the covid "pandemic". If they respond with, "What do you mean?", I walk away. A decent doctor would know precisely what I'm talking about... the rank & file quacks... not so much.

I was only trying to help with your confusion 🤷‍♂️ but I must say I did come back from Londistan a little above my usual Svelteness..... 👀

So, just had a full on health check. Bloods, wee, the lot.
I’m really healthy for my ‘group’ apparently without any red flags other than a BMI of 25, which is overweight apparently. 5, 9 & 12 7?
Just got a text from the Dr asking me to come in to discuss lowering my cholesterol a little.
So, you guys who know about this stuff, what can you share to for arm me?
I don’t know the result yet unfortunately; wasn’t included in the message.
I do eat a very low carb diet now with plenty of whole unprocessed foods. Almost keto I would say if that’s possible.
Just 2 meals a day, no snacks & eat within 8 hour window.
I bet they try to get me on statins; I will decline, but would like to state why.

:)

Wait. What?

This is a long podcast. I like long-form podcasts although I often phase in and out of them but sometimes something shocks me awake and it happened about 80 minutes or so into this one.

Bret Weinstein was talking about his time as an under-graduate when he discovered something about laboratory mice and the testing of drugs meant for human trials. He had found a flaw in the methodology in around 1999 that has been ignored by the pharmaceutical cartels and their tame regulators ever since.

I had a genuine free-fall, stomach-rising-up-into-my-chest moment that hasn't yet gone away. It was the kind of feeling that Neo's character in The Matrix would have had when he suddenly understood the nature of his "reality".

Jesus.
Fucking. And I cannot stress this part enough -
Christ.

I started about 1.16 in and the lady was talking about the pharma co reps brushing off that people died during the trials, and thought 'surely that's no surprise to our Loz...it happened during the convid trials and they discounted those from the results'...

But then he got onto the mice

"Senator Rand Paul has confirmed Fauci will testify under oath before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs on July 29. Fauci will face questions over one of the most controversial chapters of the Covid story: US funding for gain-of-function research linked to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, the origins of the virus and allegations key information was kept from the public."

I am determined to tell GB News viewers the truth about the origins of Covid

Hilariously, Fauci won't be able to claim a 5th Amendment style defence as with his farcical pardon via the Biden autopen, he has no way of incriminating himself.

Nevertheless, he won't be answering any questions or at least, he won't be answering any of the questions posed to him.

My personal hope is that some Senator will get so enraged by his non-responsiveness that he attacks and strangles Fauci to death during the Committee Hearing.

Hey. I can hope.

No surprise. Londonistan. Third world savages don't use toilet paper. I think it's left hand to wipe arse, right hand to shovel sago and mealy pap into gob. Could be the other way round, and given that it's well known that the imported Londonistan population has a much lower IQ than Europeans, the chances of them getting their left and right mixed up is a certainty.
Another reason never to go near the slum migrant camp that was once England's capital city: everything's smeared in human shit.

Who in the actual fuck still orders & eats food that is delivered, already cooked, to their door?
At this point in our civilisational decline?

JFC.

You're out of your tiny, addled minds and probably deserve whatever you get from this.
Agreed. "Food" prepared by illegal immigrants in unlicensed take-away establishments that are fronts for money laundering, and delivered by illegal immigrants on stolen mopeds. My would you? But apparently many do.

And after all, it's not hard to cook ethnic food at home. You set a single pot over some sort of heat source and throw all the ingredients in and continue cooking til it doesn't smell quite so bad. And then it's done. Anyone can do that. Why would you pay someone who wipes their bottom with their bare hand to do it for you?

I never order hot food in for that reason...among others.

Why does a butcher, selling low risk raw meat need to spend £££££ on insulating and refrigerating their vans to be able to deliver to their customers, and need to document cleaning regimes and keep temperature charts, when hot, ready to eat, highest risk category food is getting delivered by someone who nobody knows, and has never taken even a basic hygiene course (mandatory for anyone else handling food)?

Abdul collecting big bags from McDs in his 18 year old MOT failure rust bucket...maybe his kid was sick in last week.
The gov even sponsor this trade by handing out free e-bikes.

The world is fucking inside out.

That's "diversity". Vibrant ain't it?

Don`t you just love restaurants with all you can eat self service buffets or places with bowls of nuts so anyone can stick their filthy fingers in and pass on who knows what.

"Dr Anthony Fauci is refusing to answer any questions about COVID-19 origins during an explosive hearing where he blasted Republicans' 'unhinged obsession' with him.

In the opening round of questions, Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment to avoid self-incrimination. He then continued to do so over 50 separate times when asked questions by lawmakers on the committee.
"

"Barbra Streisand: 'She wanted to know if it was okay to get mRNA vaccine. I told her yes,' Fauci wrote of the 'great call."

Dr Fauci REFUSES to answer any COVID-19 questions and blasts Rand Paul

Free peanuts in bowls on the bar in pubs. Wasn't there a report in the late '90's/early noughties that showed something like 90% of complementary pub peanuts were contaminated with piss? Had to be some chods in there as well sometimes.
