I can't understand this,
I was out today having a general sort of run, fair bit of traffic stopped off a few times whilst getting into leeds, whilst my mate tries the new daytona 675. At this point we have done about 30 miles nothing great, out of the irdinary infact it was like commuting.
I have been on the bike a fair bit over the last couple of weeks, and have done a couple of trackdays in the last month already so it came as a bit of a surprise when i was heading home, that i booted it and popped my head over the tank and thought. blimey that sounded really loud (induction wise). Thought i must have been further forward and cloer to the tank than usual probably doing away with some wind noise, however it seemed to pick up quicker also.
SO i backed off and tried again... same again, body more upright for a more usual sensation and the same feeling again, more noise and seemingly more power?? now i was confused. So did some more miles and low and behold the sensation did not change?
Now the bike is approaching 9000 miles of which i have done about 8500ish, it's not a case of it being parked up and not having been used as i have already said it's been out quite a lot recently. So has my bike genuinely found an extra turn of pace out of the blue? has it reached a point where it is fully run in and is producing optimum power?
Just to reinforce the point it popped a wheelie on the power as i was exiting a bend?? Never have done this before...
Does anyone have a reasonable explanation or should i take to the garage to make sure it's running right?
