Got the 848 out of Moth Balls this morning and gave it a blast, 12 degrees and sunny couldn't ask for much more than that. Got past the shortest day bring on the spring.:santagrin:

749 is still in bits, I did look at it breifly yesterday but thats as far as I got. Padgetts are hopefully getting me some new cogs, might get a quick run in b4 2009.....

yesterday was dry day and I had a couple of hours before the missus had me back at Tesco again buying enough food to survive a nuclear winter, even tho' the shops will be open again on 26 December.

anyway, i was able to ride the 1098R and desmo back to back which was fab 'cos i hadn't been out for ages. no new revelations for you, just a fantastic, life affirming reminder about why these bikes are so much fun. yesterday the 1098 was deffo the most rideable. hunks of power within easy reach, booming soundtrack thanks to the 70mm termis! desmo soundtrack has changed out of all recognition now with the evo pipe. much closer to the twin sound. it has a long throttle travel with so much more revs available to deliver the power. for a moment (just for a moment) i was feeling a shade disappointed, then i realised i was only using half throttle. obviously i had a quick look at what the other half could do for me and scared myself sh1teless.

well i arrived back in one piece which is always a bonus, showered off the babies and joined the rest of the human race pushing a shopping trolley. difference was i had a big inner smile!

merry xmas online pals, hope santa brings u some ducati, moto gp, wsb goodoies, or whatever floats ur boat.

Well the 848 has gone into DL today for its recall and butt job ie Tremis fitted.
Looking forward to getting her back, bring on warmer weather and salt free roads.:lol2:
