Front Brakes to Multistrada 1000ds

I'm having a bit of a technical meltdown with my Multi at the moment. The clocks drowned and the digital display has gone AWOL. These are now being tenderly warmed, hopefully back to full fitness. However, I have a problem with my front brake which feels like a disc is warped as the brake keeps grabbing cyclically every revolution. The bike has only done 4200 miles. Could it be anything else ? Are these brakes floaters and is this known to be a problem ? Spinning the wheel around doesn't seem to show any visible sign but then again I don't suppose it would be visible unless they're truly knackered. I know I can get them tested at a local garage but I don't want to look like a pratt if it could be something else that's simple to detect. Any ideas ?

Ducati usually fix this by fitting a new banjo bolt which reduces brake pressure, depending upon how bad it is you may find it also needs new rotors/pads.

My ST4s is doing this as well to some extent but a dial guage on the discs shows less than .004" runout on each disc, so I'm sure that it's not warped discs that is the cause.
A more likely reason is a build up of pad material on the disc. You can't see it but it affects the friction coefficient of the disc so that it varies around its rotation. Before forking out on new discs try cleaning them with emery cloth and fitting new pads.

Thanks for the replies. I've already had the calipers off cleaned them etc. until like new. Looking on the Multistrada site it appears that these two problems, damp clocks and dodgy front brakes, are a common problem.
