well me and pauline have finally done it. no not that. got the bike out and went to sherburn, couldn't believe it i struggled to find a parking space it was heaving and after staying there far to long had a freezing ride home but it was worth it i am so glad i bought a duke looking forward to seeing bp at sherburn and anyone else who wants to come on a saturday afternoon for a frothy and good laugh roll on long hot summer days:)

yea bit of salt bit of damp but alot of dry dusty roads saw an excellent two up wheelie outside the carpark too cold for me to trust the tyres in any other position then straight up and after two months off felt a bit stiff and kept getting cramps but it was worth it

got for a few milws this aft, forgot how poor the headligh is on the 996 till i left the luxury of street lit roads

tomorrow will be spent shining it back up again!

ill no be out tomorrow, got clean it then got some work to do

if ever your off that way just send us a txt

rj i do think the 1098 is as good looking as my 999 and pauline thinks its even better (actually she doesn't like the look of a 999) so when the time is right i might just go for it but at the moment its just great blowing the cobwebs off and getting out:D :D

true, all true, but it's very tedious to get there, never inspires me at all. Good for saturday teatime in the summer, when I can make it - eh Steves? :D

you should be able to make a half decent ride out of it from your spot Pete, thru Boston Spa, Tadcaster then down past Lotherton Hall to Garforth then back up Cliff top on to Squires?

Some people don't know how lucky they are, eh Steve  I wish I could ride out anywhere, instead I'm stuck here with 5 kilos round my ankle trying to bend my leg

oh i dont know? the coffees average but some of the sights are hilarious...:D
Coffee just average Steve? I love that stuff!

Loads of salt up here still, no chance getting out anyway till I get the bike tested n taxed. Brrr, Sherburn's a long way when it's still chilly, my first out will probably be Rothbury

Yes maybe, but I can be in Hawes via three wildly different routes in exactly the same time..........:D Or Helmsley even. :D Or Kirkby. :D I supposed I'm spoilt for choice really, come on over and I'll take you around. :)

i you go to hawes and spend 40 minutes queueing for a drink and a bag of chips from the blue rinse brigade if you want to but personally after working dam hard for 5 and half days then theres nothing better then to chill have a frothy and a laugh to recoup and get ready for a right good blast on sunday each to there own ways other wise the mountain roads would not be as quite as you like them would they
