First review of the 1098R

Typical Fifer, pick a fight in an empty hoose.

And i bet the pink handbag is your Scott, to go with the pink heels me Joolie makes you wear....;)

Samie my 2 pence worth if you care to listen, if you knew Big Scottch you would know that he is anything but Smug, fat tw@t yes but smug defo not.

Poor guy has been extremely patient waiting on his RR and to be fair has been d1cked about something chronic, knowing him as i do he was hinting at a wait more than anything for the R

In this instance it really is a case of the joys of type on a forum putting a slant on it that wasn't there........How many times have we all seen that on the various forums.

Regards

ScottyB

Handbags at dawn then it is..........

And I already new I'd have to be patient for 12 months or so the 1098R that I ordered was made with the knowlegde that the bike could take 12- 18 months from November 07. This is due to the version of 1098R which hasn't been offficially anounced yet....

If your curious to know which 1 you'll have to wait, until Ducati anounce it....

In fairness to Scottch, I picked up the banner and decided to have some banter.....

Maybe smug could be the wrong word, but he was rather too happy about his latest acquisition and as he put it ' the 1098R was delayed by 3 months or so. I did already know this from my Dealer.

I'm not really fused as to how long the darn thing takes anyway as it'll be awesome...

Smug?......you must be able to do better than that. I'll give you "smug". I'm waiting for both the D16RR and the 1098R. But when I get both, and it's a sunny day, i'll post a report on how I rode them back to back this afternoon and i'll tell you which is best for a quick A road blast. "does 20hp and 2 extra cylinders make any difference to riding pleasure?". better still i'll trailer them both up to knockhill with my 508hp Mercedes CLS 63 AMG and ride them back to back throughout the sessions and post the results against the 1098S and the 999R. bugger it, i'll add the KTM RC8 in for good measure.......Smug? you lot aren't even close.

Obviously this line in 1 of my many posts in this thread wasn't picked up upon........

"In fairness to Scottch, I picked up the banner and decided to have some banter".....

However the above post from Mike was very funny... Sounds like I'd better go get the Ferrari Enzo then !!!!

My CLS has 510hp. Where did your other two go?

Anyway, I'll come up and watch you in my JetRanger assuming its back from Cannes by then. I left it there last time and sailed back. One of my pilots will get it back soon enough.

Smug?

Moi???;)

Thought you might have used the Gulfstream Jet Fergie??

It all pales into insignificance compared to my choice of steed today. 4 wheels not two, classic silver paint job.... all the luxuries you could ask for.

Keep yer mercs and 510/508 bhp, who needs 170 bhp 1098R's.

I love my Corsa 1L Club!!!!!

TBH It is a courtesy car;)
