1984 YAMAHA RD500 LC 47X PROJECT - YZR 500 RACE REPLICA PROJECT | eBay

This is a non matching numbers bike that is an ideal base for a race replica. The bike is a 1984 (47X) model with a 1985 (1GE) engine. All numbers are clearly visible and untampered with. There is not much to say other than what you see is what you get.

Nice looking bikes though.

Craig's Honda (main dealer) have been collecting this type of bike for a few years now from all over the world and importing them and selling for huge profits in the UK.

My experience of that dealership is not a good one, Craig did resolve things in the end and I appreciated his intervention however his son Matt at Shipley is not someone I would call a decent person at all but ultimately If the bike is right and price ok then job is ok… it’s if you have an issue at Shipley be careful if dealing with the son, just go straight to the dad is my advise if you feel you are not getting a fair resolution.

They had a mint GSX-R 750rr Slabby like mine in that was immaculate and 400 mile from new.
Mines original with patina and 30,000 mile so I went for a look out of interest. His 400 mile bike had repro decals, had been re-sprayed and had the wrong exhaust on and they were asking £25k
I told him it was all wrong and he wasn’t happy that I did 😇 they didn’t change the advert and sold it to an unsuspecting customer. That was at the Honda Dealership - I wouldn’t trust any of them 👍

that's because he knows the market is very strong for Legacy Ducati's.
Someone may have mentioned it.... £2000 is only going to get you a Ducati Moped or a 600cc F'ugley.
