3,500 miles a year is not high.

[Noobie]

Agree with you Hugo, personally as long as the condition and service history is good, the mileage vs the price seems fair

I love it when people who aren't buyers say this sort of thing.....

[Noobie]

And so you should. I've had as much fun on a £2.5k bike with a high mileage, as a brand new bike costing 15k.

It depends what your needs, budget and expectations are. There is a tipping point where a bike reaches the "aww fuck it" and moves away from "it's to precious to be ridden". Different people have different positions where that tipping point is.

[Hugo Magnus]

An old bike can be like the ship of Theseus (Trigger's broom) all the worn parts replaced; as good as new.

I see the bayliss pannelled 1098 is up again. I can't remember it showing it was a cat D before though?

That bike popped up in my email alerts. I do like these old scramblers and would love to buy that bike but I’d have to pay an additional 23% to get it into ROI and I think that just makes it too expensive, especially as the Ducati market here is tiny for resale
