Ducati Preston. 3 owner, 15,000 mile, 748E at £7480 😲

They state it's one of only 3 mono's shiped into the UK by Ducati and state Bologna have confirmed that, yet look closely at the sub frame and one can see the fixings for the pillion pegs, so not a mono subframe.
All 748 variants except the 748R were supplied with a biposto subframe and not the lightweight monoposto subframe (that was 748R only).

I remember when I bought mine I was given the option of ordering a mono seat to go with it upon delivery. I didn’t, don’t know why, just didn’t. I can’t recall any mention of the sub-frame.

I’m sure Ducati Preston are correct in what they say but then is it really an original mono? What’s the difference between one that ships as a BiP bit with a mono seat as well? What’s the difference between one shipped as a BiP to which the owner adds a genuine Ducati mono seat at a later date?

Still, if they think they can get that much for that how much is ours worth @AirCon 😁

I've asked them a load of questions today. The log book is marked "E" rather than "BIP" and Ducati confirm that it is a factory mono.

They also wish me luck on my quest for an early MTS1200PP and a sensibly priced D16

You mentioned all 748's had the BIP sub frame, then added the 748R as an exception but what about the 748SP, 748SPS and 748 'Racing'

You won't get a better value D16 than Trevor's in the current market - it's worth checking what it comes with and view it at JHP in Coventry.
It's all serviced up too by JHP. If you want the standard pipes on it you would get a huge wedge for the Inconel System that's on it

If my kidneys and retinas weren't fucked I would sell 'em and have it mucker! 👀 (y)

2009 Ducati 1198 Although standard and with a low mileage, it looks a fair price for a good condition bike.

I probably know exactly what's up with the old girl, need to find out the history from the one former keeper, needs stripping and cleaning properly.
Could be a very nice bike at the right price.

DUCATI MULTISTRADA 1200S (2010) - PART EXCHANGE TO CLEAR.
FAULTY REAR BRAKE & DASH OIL LIGHT IS DIMLY LIT WHEN RUNNING... they all do that sir.....
IN GOOD CONDITION COSMETICALLY. (what's wrong mechanically?)
ONE FORMER KEEPER.... good news, perhaps a chat.
25,500 MILES ON THE CLOCK. Not too high
FITTED WITH A FULL PERFORMANCE EXHAUST SYSTEM.-- Hence the no MOT, no CAT and Termi end can= too loud to MOT.
HPI CLEAR.
NO MOT.

Possibly more to boot, no mention of belts at 15k or desmoservice at 18k, the electronic ohlins operating as it should?
