Visordown are reporting that Ducati are to launch a 1400cc muscle-bound street bruiser to challenge Harley-Davidson :confused::confused:

I really do hope this is an April Fools bit early.....
 
Wouldn't be beyond Ducati to do this... Not a massive amount of R&D needed. Good potential market place. Triumph are trying it with their new 1600 so why not????

Dread to think the OTR price .....................
 
also this gossip isn't dead. "serious sources" (whatever this means) are telling about plans/tests of v2 - configurations of 1280/1380 ccm to create a bike which combine the features of hd streetrod and yams v-max. donno if such a vehicle fits the program portfolio right... but these days nothing is impossible - porsche is offering a chayenne with diesel engine and a 4-door-limousine why ducati shouldn't offer a chopper:D eh, sorry muscle bike:D

Superb, didn't think it was possible to have something uglier than the Streetfighter... but they managed, well done, hats off for that. That other thing that B&P posted, great, we need a Ducati that will rival a Conferate Wraith :rolleyes: It's bizarre that a small Italian motorcycle manufacturer can produce such AWESOME beauty as the Desmosedici then throw this into the arena. Maybe sales are so slow that the marketing and design depts. have too much time.

as long as it doesn't have the D16RR Bridgetone tyres, looks like a 240+ rear section, with that weight/power I think you'd get about 100 miles per tyre :D:D:D:D
 
mcn (yes, i know...) will post/print tomorrow a/some spy pics from the factory.

they posted a teaser on their website today which was rapidly removed...
