Ducati Leeds winter service offer.

Think I would rather drop it at Nelly 👍
Too far to go for me for a basic service. 3 1/2 hour drive. Big stuff, yes, Nelly every time.

I'd just like to have a service done before winter becomes too advanced, just to get some fresh oil in it if nothing else. I haven't got the time to do it myself or to take it anywhere.

Still be expensive though if they have to collect and return it, but delivery costs will be cheaper than me taking a day off, hiring a van and filling it with diesel.
I might make an enquiry though to see what it would cost.

Actually I might make the same enquiry of M&S at Newcastle. They do a collection and delivery service and they're local. And as they're no longer a franchised dealer there's no danger of Ducati's computer having a fit when it finds I've had a custom map.

I asked them about this when I spent 40 minutes getting there after dropping someone off in Leeds centre.
Apparently it’s not their fault.

They all do it...Porsche South Lakes...Mclaren Glasgow...Bentley Glasgow - pretentious twats.

Ahem: Porsche, Mclaren, Bentley....
Pretentious? Mois? 😜

I've nothing against them using the name of the brand...it's the place name that is miles from where they are that is the problem. They're basically saying to the people of the town where they're based, 'we don't want to name our business after your shitty little place'.

Why not go the whole hog and call Porsche South Lakes, Porsche Mayfair North. 'Tis a bugbear of mine.

Thing is, Shipley is almost habitable. And to get there from the M6 you have to go through Saltaire which is the one part of Bradford where a few actual Yorkshire people still live. There's trees and everything, very little of it is on fire and there's shops that sell bacon.
Leeds on the other hand.... If my business was in Shipley and I wanted civilised people with money in their pockets to walk through the door (as opposed to putting a brick through it and calling for global jihad) the last thing I'd be doing was telling them it was in Leeds. Very odd.

I could go to Ducati Sunderland I suppose but the trouble with that is to get there you have to go through Sunderland.
