Ducati Event - Squires Cafe - 18/2/09

11/2/2009 a Wednesday. On leaflets in the cafe and advertised as a 'Ducati - Exhibition of bikes and accessories. Fasion (sp) show, live band, free entry.'

Anybody heard of it or planing that far ahead?

The joy of shift work means random mid week days off for me. Seems for once, something ducati happening on a random week day. May just show my face for the first time.

Think posters etc must still be up at Squires for this (friend was over there sunday and mentioned it). Hopefully we won't all be snowed in by then, is anyone going to bob across :)
 
Sounds interesting, is it a day or an evening event. Wednesday during the day would be very strange.

It's the 18th now apparently, evening, kicking off around 7pm. Don't know anything else other than that, unfortunately :)

It'll be half term week, I'm counting on spring arriving so shall go across and have a look regardless. Hopefully you'll all have waded through your sacks of valentines cards by then, so I may finally meet a few more of you :D:) xx
 
I did wonder if this event had changed to the 18th, D.Leeds are trying to arrange to take up some demo bikes too..

I may pop down work permitting, be nice to meet a few people from the forum but how exactly do we recognise each other? I for one will be mainly wearing a Ducati Corsa T Shirt (oh and a very warm jacket of course), but dont think I will be the only one!!

I've spoken to Jane at DL today. Hopefully its all going ahead on the 18th, but it is weather permitting. I think if its chucking it down or snowing, it ain't happening! It's kicking off around 7.
On display are:
Some of the '09 clothing collection.
The '09 bike range. Including Monster 1100, 1198s and 1098 R Bayliss LE.
The Bayliss LE is limited to 500 bikes.

Will be going down there for 7 ish, on the Smart too if its nice!

Firstly a belated happy new year from all of us at Ducati Leeds, at the moment the snow is looking deep and crisp and even but spring is just around the corner and they always say a bad winter is followed by a good summer. Our first ride out for 2009 is planned for March 8th meeting at the shop at 10am for a trip around the dales including the ever popular coffee at Kirkby, quick lunch at Hawes and then plan according to weather, hopefully an ice cream at Hartside!


Squires Night, last minute or what?

We are going to have a very informal night at the world renowned Squires café at Sherburn this coming Wednesday the 18th Feb. from 7.30 pm, we are taking a mouth watering selection of 09 models from Ducati plus a tantalising collection of bargains in Ducati clothing. There will also be a chance of a lifetime ride on a Desmosedici RR up for grabs, make sure you have your thinking head on for the Ducati themed fun quiz, questions are very technical like, how many people work at Ducati UK, answer: about half of them. Hope to see you there.

As I've just posted on DSC:

Not a bad night out at all, even if the weather turned against us once again.

Saw a nice 748R in the car park surrounded by about 100 cars

Ducati Leeds made the event fun with a quiz and some good clothing discounts, I got my first sit on an 848 (D.L.'s own Bayliss Rep) and they had a decent selection of current bikes to lust over.

There was even a Desmocedici there as well!

Nice to see Ray there as well for a chat.

I just wonder if 'Spring' will ever come to the far distant "North"

Amazing turnout for dark, damp February night. Good to see familiar faces from near and far. Both car parks full to busting.

Good display of bikes, a 'sedici, a brace of r models etc, etc prize draw, band, etc.

Charlie proved he wasn't the loon some thought he might be putting this on in February:lol2:

Sounds like it was a good night, did anyone get any photos? if so I'll add a gallery to add them to.
