DSC Yorkshire Region Meet/Ride Sunday 18th May.

Hoping to get the 'ss' MOT'd and taxed tomorrow, subject to decent weather, hope to have a run up, straight(ish) to Thirsk;)

Why oh why oh why do I have to work longer hours in the summer. Maybe its cos I fix fridges, can't make this I'm working. If I'm quiet I'll try to get to squires to drool over this 848.
Tissues please

OK will try and make it for 9am - lol going to be a bloody early start for me then on Sunday - I will not be supplying tissues - please bring your own!

:D

I'm not out upto Thirsk this weekend as having a ride down to the Italian day at Stone with a few mates. So have a gud'n see you all soon..

Ray,
Will be at Squires for 9 ish, weather permitting. Looks like it could be a nice day. Although that comment has probably hexed it!
Just got back from Toronto. Nearly had to pay excess baggage on myself due to all food I stuffed myself with, so will also be riding slower than I usually do too!
See you there.
Rich

Even Davie or Ed couldn't get directions wrong to Yarm :p

its the one main road through the town centre and there's a vast area of cobbled parking either side of the main road and right in the middle is a clock

See Scotty's on form then

Don't think I'll have any trouble finding Yarm - needed a bit of a clue about the clock tho' :D
Followed a supermoto via Yarm a couple of years ago but don't remember cobbles or a clock

Think my best route is past Sedgefield racecourse, Sadberge and then main road to Yarm which on my map says A67 - awright!

See you all tomorrow :lol2:

I might meet you guys at Yarm. Do be sure to wait for my little ol 2vlvr please.

2 cylinders are all you need but 3 is an excellent compromise

Might bimble along for this one. My old carb'd iron might not like the early morning chilly temps but I'll give it a go.

Erm can someone bring a camera please - mine is no longer and I've had a request from a certain someone on here for piccies - so if someone wouldn't mine obliging - mine got slightly singhed (lol is that how you spell it?)

I'm sure you al be able to keep up  , you can just flip a switch for an extra 20 bhp cant you ;) (or is that a sore point at the moment :o )

A good turnout today. Sedici, nice Bostrom rep, Yorky's trick Monster with race cans etc. amongst others. Even saw a trio of people I know from a previous existence on JILF's. But they had only come from Leeds, on the way to the coast - really - stopping for a brew at 40 miles...... We pedalled 38 miles to get there and completed 70 before getting home. Slightly slower than the rest though. :D

Though not much slower, the road to Whitby was busy enough on the way there , yet not too bad on the way home
not a bad day out by any means though the rain that greeted me at Yarm nearly put me off the idea but it turned out sunny :) , good to meet everyone and I'm slowly forgetting everyone's names again :o

Cheers Ray for a good run out today. Good to meet some new faces and see some old ones, although I'll never remember names!
The last 20 miles just about finished me. Just sat with a pint relaxing.
Cheers!

Cheers Ray for organising today and ordering some sunshine after several of us got a little damp on the way down.

Great to catch up with those I know and to meet some new friends even if I didn't learn all your names :o

Congrats Ducatigirl on making it all the way from Newark. I might not like white bikes but your 848 is undoubtedly gorgeous, hope you found your way home ok Karen.

Oh....and some sweaty bloke in lycra hugged me..thanks Rockjock.

Yes thanks for organising today! It was great as everyone else has said to meet you all and put names "pseudonyms" to faces - and I too will forget your real names.

Thanks Bev, sorry we didn't get long to chat, but I am sure we will meet up again in the not to distant future.

Thanks to the chaps in the group I was in for looking after me in formation!

:D
