All,

As previously mailed we have been invited to this event not too far away from Cadwell park this Saturday.

Don't feel you have to stay for the full day. The plan is to meet at Squires at 9.30 then leave at 10.00am. This will be a steady ride out not some attempt to reach take off speed!

Other DSC regions are planning on going so lets make sure that there are plenty of Ducatis there.

I am waiting for some info about a meet up at Junction 4 on the M180 to ride in with some others from Hull way.

Please let me know if you plan to meet up. If you want to meet at Junction 4 on the M180 please let me know,

Regards Ray

In addition to approx. 150 Buells, there’ll be Italian bikes from Aprilia, Cagiva, Ducati, Morini and Moto Guzzi. British bikes will include Brough Superior, Hesketh and Vincent. There will be Buell and Ducati specialist after-market companies at the event offering accessories and tuning parts.

The event will include a Lancaster bomber taxi-run and a Spitfire flying display. If you like Rolls Royce V12 Merlin engines at full chat and red-blooded V-twin motorcycles, you’ll really appreciate this event!

The provisional timetable is as follows:

10.30am Start time

12.00 noon to 1.15pm Photo-call for bikes with the Lancaster

1.30pm Lancaster bomber taxi-run

3.00pm Spitfire flying display

The admission charge is still be set as of March 2006 but is unlikely to be more than £6.00 per person. ‘Girls on Buells’ get in free.

The Aviation Centre has full catering facilities. If offers good quality food at a reasonable price.

I think some of the BHC riders who attended Raid The Lakes are heading up to this one as well.

Yep...sure are :D

Thanks to Beancounter, I will be on an 851 SP3, since my T8 needs some tyres that I can't afford until payday

wahey!!!!! count me in v-twins,lancaster bomber and spitfires

see ya at squires ray

This is what google makes of the route from Squires to the event:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?daddr=...26699,2.576294

and according to my camera map altas I can only see two cameras on the whole route.....just after Louth and then after the next A16 roundabout.

Ahhhhh - Cadwell is SO close

About 60 Ducatis from North, South, East and and West met up at the Airfield, most had been ridden throught some rain to get there, Including the half dozen that set off from Squires.

It was less to get in on a bike than the normal admission fee and it was amazing to get that close to a Lancaster with all four Merlins running.

Hope everyone got home OK and dodged the downpours.

Ray.

got pish wet through ray :rain: :ohwell:

on the flooded roads the water was above my footpegs
