Today I had my last session of chemo, all went well, now the waiting game for my energy levels to get better, my taste to come back, most of all is the next six months, if the chemo keeps the tumour at bay for six months or more I can have another course of chemo, as with everything else it varies from patient to patient. Considering a few months ago I didn't think I would reach Christmas things are much better than they could have been. 🤞 :)

Thanks for the positive messages, chemo is finished, the last session hit me hard, lost appetite and taste was still bad missed quite a few meals and when I did eat it wasn't much, l lost more weight down to 73kg, 2 weeks ago the consultant put me back on a short course of steroids which have worked wonders, my appetite returned and taste improved resulting in me enjoying food for the first time in months. I have put a bit of weight back on, now 76kg. At my last meeting with the consultant he said the chemo had done its job and stabilised the tumour, I couldn't really ask for more at this stage. Downside now the short course of steroids is over my taste is going again and a slight loss in appetite although I am eating at every opportunity just in case it gets worse, hopefully I can enjoy Christmas dinner.
I am a very positive person but without sounding morbid there were times a few months ago I didn't think I would see Christmas.

Happy Christmas Steve and well done for fighting the fight.. It must be extremely difficult to stay positive when all you have had is months of sickness but great to hear you are now doing better.. Enjoy your family and Christmas.. Best wishes Jay
