Diavel write up........

October 2014

That is the date I will treat myself to the Diavel!!! I retire!!!
What a present to myself!:D
Im getting stirrings in places that I havnt had in ages!!!!

Have to admit, as much as im not a fan of this thing, it does seem to tick a lot of the right boxes. like the writer says a lot of the finishing touches seem to be especially good and the riding position is less crotch rocket and more pantie dropper. I'm due a change of bike in a couple of years, one of these might do the trick.

Ducati are definitely getting the details right. Since they generally had the important stuff like engine, chassis, brakes sorted before this is all good :)

Sat on it again today - proper comfy, desperate for a go!

I like it in the photo's, so will be interested to see it in the flesh.

.....but how much to replace the large rear piece of special rubber!!

Unfortunately not.
Was down at the Excel in London.
Launch in our store is the weekend of 5/6 March.
It's such a beautiful bike and so well put together, it's defo gonna be a great thing to ride.

martin, do you want me to run in the demo bike for you before the public get their hands on it:)

Seems as though Ducati have a winner on their hands.:thumbs: It doesnt rock my boat as thats not the type of bike I want at present, but it will sell, sell, sell. :flash:Good effort Ducati,:flash::flash:Now for a new Sports Tourer & a new revamped 1198.

Is this going to be another bike that although recieving fantastic reviews, think 1098, 848, streetfighter, new monster, classic multi, ends up not really selling the numbers it should have considering how good a bike it actually is?

Has Ducati got such a questionable reputation that it will never sell the bikes it deserves?????

Just glad I don't have to fathom out how to fix the problem.

I don't think they'll have much problem outselling the Diavel's nearest Japanese competitor this time. The £20K V-Max will be a tough sell around about now I'd guess :D

Unfortunatly they still do Paul. Everytime I speak to my biking buds outside DUN & the SDC, they still come up with " crap electrics, not dependable...Etc Etc".
I think it will take many years to get rid of the old 1970-80's issues.
Same as Lancia did with their cars.

Me too.
Issues have been sorted now but the reputation seems to have stuck, very difficult to shake!!!:flash::mad:

When they spout the 'unreliable' etc. @@@@e just ask them if they have owned one?

The answer you will probably get is 'I knew somebody who had one that was a lot of trouble'

Would they say the same about a modern Skoda?
