I just taxed my bike today, so judging by past experience we will probably get plenty of sleet, rain, gales and generally hellish weather for the next month :(

We had sleet showers today and forecast for next 3/4 days is the same. Still gritting so nothing I value is going out in this....the wee Yamaha will be fine though!:D

well I taxed my bike in November when it was due and only discoverd last week (at the Glentress meet) that the tax disc is still sitting on the kitchen unit and NOT on the sodding bike :o :o   :o

I know I know:o :o the shame of it!!! at least I had purchased it though:)

it'll def be in place for the next run don't worry!!! probably get my books if its not :twak:

never fitted a tax disc to a bike yet, keep it in my wallet or at home. With computerization these days i think tax discs will become history, i think even beakers can check a vehicles tax without seeing a disc.

sum backstud stole the tax disc of my bike once while i was in the dentist ...wen i got out ..i had a fixed penalty notice for not displaying it

yeah really, blessed with a problem free set of gnashers, had a filling when i was 15, went for a check up at 25, nowt needed and never been since :)

Thanks to everyone on this thread:hail: Nearly forgot myself:eek: Just taxed the bike online 5mins ago:rolleyes:
Ok Lynn tear me apart if you so wish for the previous post:whistle:

I still tax my bike or car at the post office as they get a payment from the government for this. Persuading us to tax online is another nail in the coffin for the post offices we are fighting to keep open along with TV licences that now are not available at post offices.

Wathched Country File today and it looks like you're right, at least for the next week. Snow, gales and as you said 'generally hellish weather'.:( :(
Farmers forecast for the month is not too good either but should warm up by the end of the month.:)

lol .. no violence today Jimmy... it's Sunday and I'm feeling chilled out so you get off with a warning this time:)

What did I tell you! I got up this morning and looked out to see everything white.
Only a slight covering fortunately, but I did have to scrape it off the car before I could leave for work and the sun is currently shining.
On a better note. I managed to put in 50 miles on the bike yesterday between showers.
Ahh - it's good to be back :):):):)

got up this morning to a complete and utter whiteout - must have been a good 3-4 inches of snow last night

blues skies this morning too - looks stunning !

it sure looks pretty...but im reaaaaaaaalllly hoping im not gonna get snowed in at work:eek:
Don't know where you work but it's snowing heavily in Ardrossan at the moment. It was very heavy in Galston this morning so, like you, am worried about getting home.

i work in east kilbride so its pretty bad - took me and hour and a half to get hree this morning - at 7am!!

Hint of a dusting here this morning but no signs of anything substantial yet.
Still not tempted to take the bike out though!
