I was really looking forward to RTL, But late on on Friday Eve my Girlfriends Dad (Top bloke too i have to add) ended up in Intensive care and on a life support after he had problems during a short op. So after only getting home from the Hospital about 3am. I thought it wouldnt be a good idea to go galvanting around the Lakes I wouldnt have been able to relax & enjoy it.
Anyway the good news is he's out of intensive care and breathing for himself although he's far from well.
Anyway theres alway RTL 2007 to look forward to and some Sunday ride outs

We wondered where you were Paul. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to dad in law. Plenty of other rides coming up to join in on.

We (me and Paul748) did come off at the Tickled Trout on the way up and got your message.
Get well soon to your "father in law".

Hi Paul, me and Alan got your text as we pulled up at Tickle Trout so no delay. Hope things work out for your father-in-law.

Glad you didnt wait around.
He's alot better today and now out of ICU but still on a high dependancy ward.
It all started last week as a swelling in his knee so he went to his GP who gave him some Anti-biotics. In the mean time it gets worse so he end up in hospital on Monday. Turns out he has a really bad infection, So they took him to theatre to get rid of the now large absess. It was in the theatre when things went bad and they realsed that it was one hell of a bad infection. They've ended up cutting away alot of bad tissue but the infection had got into his blood and attacked his lungs and kidneys.
And all of this stared by a small cut on his knee last week. Scary

That's really bad news, hope it all works out well. If he's generally fit and healthy it sounds like he should be fine for good recovery. It would have been good to meet up, but as said already, plenty more chances this year.

Paul, sorry to hear that, only just got your message as I have been off line for over a week, see you soon matey, ae you going to sneak accross to Oulton on the 28th ?
