Opinion: If pubs and music venues earn planning protection from noise, why can’t motorsport venues?

As Donington Park is about to get up to 4,250 new, potential NIMBY neighbours, why can’t it and other motorsport venues be protected from complaints?

Fucking joke, it was all downhill for Donington when it was taken off the Motogp calendar in 2009!! I was lucky to see Motogp there in 2008 before it went to the shit show of silverstone!!

If the 5 landowners only took £50,000 per house (between them) then each would receive £45,000,000 over 20 years. Or, an average of £2,250,000 per year. That does not include the proposed industrial development.

All being done for the usual, money!! Down here in Southampton when i ride out to west-east Meon there are housing estates being built with what was farm land that they have bought and farm land up for sale!!

The council have already made £205,943.00 just from the planning application.
If the landowners just wanted a £1,000,000 income every year for 20 years then they would need to realise just under £22,223.00 per house.
