Right, here's a good 'un for ya's

I'm looking for a magnesium coloured open clutch cover - NOT a shiney gold one

Anyone know where I can get yin?

Use someone elses, I find that usually works best :D

I've only seen one true magnesium cover, and it was recently...but I can't for the life of me remember where :confused: It was pretty trick...seem to remember there being a big fuss about it because no one had seen it before. I'll try to track it down.

Failing that why not just find the design you like and hand it over to Stuart (Jackson)? Mind you, you'll probably be wanting it this year ;)

Ah right found it. Although I only saw it for the first time a couple of weeks ago, the thread was actually from this time last year. He said he bought it here http://stores.ebay.com/dropshop-uk and that Carbonworld (http://www.carbonworld.de/shop/) has started selling them too.

CycleCat do two types of gold...gold gold, and a champagne gold. The champagne one is pretty nice...has more of a matt finish.

Here's the picture of that magnesium one though.

I was pointing you in the direction of the titanium one as they are grey and I can't really remember seeing many or indeed any grey magnesium ones
 
the bronze magnesium colour your on about is only a protective layer
the magnesium alloy is a silvery colour like most metals (think of them metal pencil sharpeners)

you might well be better off painting an aluminum one theres much more design choice afterall
