The restrictions ahead of the third heatwave of 2026 follow the hottest ever spring and June for England and the UK's highest ever temperatures in May and June
"One of the UK's fastest artificial intelligence supercomputers has been offline for more than a week after last month's scorching heatwave caused it to shut down."

You are such a cynic @Noobie . Everyone knows that the Drax emissions don`t count as they are special good green emissions that are actually beneficial to the bank accounts of those connected to the scheme. Just think how wonderful it would be if all of the trees in America were chopped down and shipped to the UK for processing here. The Drax power station which is powered by bio mass (wood pellets made by tearing down huge swaves of Canadian forest's) is often lauded as the way forward by environmentalists.
So it's a bit suprising when trying to reach net zero, its actual Carbon emissions from the controversial Drax power station, hit a record high last year – making it the largest single emitter in the UK for the 11th year running.

Carbon emissions at 'green' Drax power station hit record high
A report by energy think-tank Ember revealed the biomass power station in North Yorkshire generated record emissions of 14.1million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) last yearwww.dailymail.com

Covid taught us that a surprising number of "intelligent people" are actually "imbecilic sacks of curdled shit"."Drax's emissions from biomass are not counted in official UK emissions statistics because of UN rules."
Duke was right...they don't count. I bet they don't include the deforestation that happens to feed it too...the loss of carbon gobbling trees.
It's all a massive con - one a lot of seemingly intelligent people believe. Madness.

Quite the eye-opener, covid was.
You are not stillmasking up then ?Covid taught us that a surprising number of "intelligent people" are actually "imbecilic sacks of curdled shit".

There's a woman in Consett who spends most of her time riding around on a bicycle. I've never seen her riding her bike in the open air without a heavy black cloth mask over her face. I assume she has mental health problems. You are not stillmasking up then ?
I had to pop in to a supermarket this morning and there were 2 ladies in there wearing masks. I know I shouldn`t jump to conclusions as they may both have life threatening conditions and they can only be saved by wearing a flimsy fabric face mask as these masks have magical powers but really I suspect they just like the attention.

If they said 100% borne by the public sector do you think they`d be able to figure out where public sector money comes from ?“Yes, £264bn. More than a quarter of a trillion. This cost will be divided between the public and private sectors.”
Which means the public will pay for 100 % of it.
Is the answer...?If they said 100% borne by the public sector do you think they`d be able to figure out where public sector money comes from ?
