Agreed. Trees, plants, Co2 consuming and oxygen producing organisms in general should be considered. The point was to redirect money from useless efforts into one that actually provides a benefit and is relatively simple to accomplish. Trees provide the most IMO and we've managed to decimate their population globally, take a look at what's been going on in South America.I like the way you are going with that @RA5 However the tree planting thing needs refining (To be facetious 'you can't eat trees')
To clarify British farmers are being persuaded to plant trees. Whilst this sounds great, our ever expanding population needs feeding, and shipping produce around the world when we are capable of being self sufficient in a lot of what we consume, with judicious land usage.........
There are plenty of trees in Sweden, so horses for courses.
The effort should be carefully planned and executed keeping agricultural requirements in mind.
