When the sea gives up land in one places it takes it away somewhere else. Same with rivers. You can't stop coastal erosion and deposition. It's natural and ocean levels are an unchanging constant. As such, the sea's impact is predictable. Rivers aren't like that. Their levels change wildly according to seasons and rainfall. If you squeeze a balloon in one place it bulges outwards somewhere else. Rivers need to be managed from source all the way to the sea and that joined up thinking and planning doesn't seem to exist with our inland waterways.

I see that parts of the village of Bracklesham Bay are just as they were, fifty years ago. I lived there once so I know.
Taking into account how much the land should have risen in that time, we can only conclude that climate change, leading to rising sea levels, is responsible for this.

The land in the south of England isn't rising. On fact, it's sinking as the north and Scotchland are still in the process of springing back after being compressed into the earth's crust during the last ice age.
Therefore sea levels should appear to be rising in southern England. If they're not, something is seriously wrong. Either the water is evaporating or draining away somewhere, or global cooling caused by the insufficient use of the internal combustion engine and the disastrous effects of the unnatural habits of vegans is causing glaciation somewhere else on the planet, robbing the south coast of England of its rightful sea water depth. This must be addressed immediately. Veganterianism and voting Libtard should be banned and it's practitioners rounded up and shot. Battery cars must be outlawed and the eating of red meat made compulsory.

When I was in primary school in the 1970's we were taught about summer fire risks. We were encouraged to go out into the play ground to burn leaves (and ants and each other...) with magnifying glasses so we understood the fire risks of glass and sunlight. We knew about this stuff before we were ten years old. We knew that discarded bottles could trap small rodents and kill them. We knew it was idiotic to throw cigarette ends out of car windows. We had experts visiting schools to give talks and show films about all sorts of stuff from fire safety to staying safe on farms and building sites where we were likely to play, to even how to clean our teeth properly.
Now it seems supposedly intelligent adults are ignorant of these basic facts of life and need politicians to talk down to them like babies. The adults have become children. How did this happen?
