Climate Change (Global Warming) 🥶🌍🌞

That's all very well, but if we all shared our wealth to make everyone equal.

Then we would no longer be able to wear a smug grin and reflect on how well off we are.
But you can't make everyone equal because we're not. You can have equality of opportunity but not equality of outcome.
Some people are fitter and healthier than others with greater stamina and so more physically productive. Some have higher intelligence and so are more intellectually productive. Some are more shrewd with a natural aptitude for making the right decisions. Some are more emotionally resilient with greater powers of perseverance. And some are just plain luckier in life. You can't legislate, educate or regulate those inequalities away.

You can just place equal opportunity before everyone and accept that some will thrive on it, some will fail outright and most will battle along somewhere in the middle.

You can only create outright equality of outcome in two ways. Leveling down opportunity to the lowest common baseline enforced through violent oppression, reducing the country to a feudal peasant economy: Afghanistan today, Cambodia under Pol Pot, the UK under Jeremy Corbyn.
Or you can accept a low median band where everyone slogs it out for life and ambition dies. The drone economy: modern socialism, or social democracy as it's rebranded itself. Under this "fair" system those who cannot meet the baseline are are either institutionalised and pensioned off for life on a pittance of alms - the underclass, or euthanased - the old. While those who rise above the headline have their assets confiscated and are expelled (with exceptions for those who operate the regime, of course). And that, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly where we are now.

Since when was 30 degrees an extreme temperature in central/southern England in high summer? Entirely normal.
Up here in the north east it shot up to 28 today with wall to wall sunshine, and about bloody time or my tomatoes will never ripen.
I called in at the Grey Bull at Stanhope tonight and supped a quick pint outside on my way back from Tescos. By 10 PM it had dropped to 15 degrees and I heard customers (real Pennines northerners) on their way home commenting that it had turned chilly.

Dublin airport is rammed with traffic at the moment as the young kids have just finished school... all heading off to countries with plus 30 degrees temps while we are putting out weather warnings out for 28 degrees and the wank pot unions also calling for maximum temperature rules 😀 😳 what a load of shite 👀

I look at crammed airports and swollen with traffic roads at school holiday time and I have to say, just where is this cost of living crisis 🤷‍♂️
It always baffled me when I lived down south, that every bank holiday half of England seemed willing to spend two days of their weekend stuck in traffic on the A 303 just so they could spend Sunday sitting in a caravan in the west country. An if they decided to drive anywhere on the Sunday to see the sights they'd spend most of that day in a traffic jam as well.
I'd rather stay at home and sit in the garden.

I'm going out on a tangent here pal but im not getting the vibe you like many people around 👀

Woman who withheld council tax in climate protest faces losing home

Jane McCarthy, 74, said she decided on the protest after becoming increasingly fearful about the impact of climate breakdown on future generations, particularly when she learned about climate tipping points at a local meeting.
MSM establishment propaganda, we don't give a flying fuck about you or the climate, keep fucking paying or else!
