I am being dragged to Inverness at the start of Sept for a "ROMANTIC FEW DAYS";) ;) .
I have been told that a romantic place for a Ducati owner to go in Inverness for a bacon butty & a cup of coffee is Charlies Cafe by the bus station.
It is full of Ducati bikes a memorabelia I am told by the guys offshore.
Is this the case????????
Is it worth dropping in with the better half?
She can look romantically into my eyes, & I can look romantically at the bikes & chomp into ma bacon butty.;) ;)
Is the Cafe worth a visit????????

Typical, she's dragging you to some cheap joint for a meal and when it's your turn it will be evening and there are only expensive restaurants to eat in:rolleyes:

Not quite what you are expecting I fear!

The owner is a biker and he has 3/4 bikes set up on a balcony above the heads of the folk at the tables. (about 5m high)

You are looking at them from a distance and I guess it is nice to see Benelli, Ducati MV etc TBH you would get a beter look by going to Ducati Glasgow.

The bikes actually belong to his mates. It is a talking point but certainly not a museum or anything similar.

One of the guys whose bike is there now works offshore so possibly that where your info is coming from.;)

Cheers for the info.
If it is peeing doooooon up there & I need a pit stop, I will call in for a cup of coffee.
Then again, I may call in at a pub instead.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would agree, if romance is what you're after, I wouldn't even recommend Inverness let alone Charlie's Cafe!!
It's not that its 'orrible, but a stroll along the Ness is about as romantic as you can get in the town.

Now the Black Isle on the other hand is much more romantic!!!!! ;) :)

drop past Newtonmore on the way,and visit a new Ducati owner

Go into new members bar and say hello!:)

Masher on this weekend at Glencoe. Why not drop down and say Hi to half of DuN and SDC?

A couple of us are heading down from Inverness area tomorrow morning to arrive at 9'ish at Glencoe. We could meet up at Spean Bridge/Ft William if you want or see you at Glencoe?
