Is it for people with unfeasibly long legs
Not a million miles from a TVR Tasmin coupe. I had one in this colour way back in the 1980s and this one, like mine, liked to spend time on the back of a recovery truck.

I had 2 in a row from the mid 80`s to the early 90s. First a 2.8 litre coupe with a Ford engine and then a 350 convertible with the Rover V8. That second one was magnificent to drive, it was so light that the 200bhp the engine produced was plenty and it was really communicative too. As long as the sun shone of course. It leaked badly, had non existent heating, the headlamps and windows would get stuck up or down etc etc. I still think the 350 convertible is a beautiful car and I occasionally look at 2nd hand ones .I had a factory round the corner from TVR, and drove past Peter Wheelers house on the way to work (until he moved).
He used to take development and prototypes home. I used to love hearing them driving past the factory. I keep fancying one but will wait til I've got a garage.

Forgot about this topic. Moved on to a Z4 coupe then an older Z4 convertible after this car. All gone now and bought this 18 months ago.Not as rare or exotic as some of the cars posted so far but this is my current ‘weekend’ toy when not out on a bike. Was going to sell it as I’d only done about 300 miles this year but it looks like that’s a lot compared to some here so I think I’ll hang onto it and see if I get more use of it next year.

That is nice, E46 M3, the best looking M3 by farThat is peak M3 for me - it’s a perfect mix of style and aggression. Plenty of power and not too big, with that great 6 engine. My brother in law had a CSL with racing brakes, and it was probably the most fun car I’ve driven.
What colour is that?
Designed by zegato and viper underpinnings I struggling to see how it's an alfa
Yes Silverstone blue became a more ‘common’ colour on the next generation 3 series and other models in the BMW lineup including the E60 you mentioned. A bit like the Porsche 911 (996) 40 Jahre which had the metallic GT Silver paint only previously seen on the Carrera GT but then appeared quite commonly on later models.Didn't they also do a E60 M5 V10 in Silverstone blue? I remember searching for one till I read the worries about the V10.
I had a Dakar Yellow E36 M3 in the 90’s and loved it, but had our first kid so changed it for a Range Rover.
The E46 just has perfect proportions, and a handy increase in power. They will just get better looking as time goes on.
JHC I'd buy that man a pint!www.facebook.com
