One off the bucket list to cheer me up in lockdown.😃

I had one of these as my first car back in 1979 and missed it, so when this one came up earlier this year i purchased it to restore for when i retire, it even has all its old tax discs going back to 1970..

Mk2 Ford Cortina 1600E in Aubergine..

Cool. Remember to drive it through a pile of empty cardboard boxes. Pretending your escaping cops circa 1972 (y)

I remember sitting in the actual John Wyer Gulf GT49 that won Le Mans in the sixties, 1966 or 67 I think. Somehwere I have a picture, I'll try and find it.
Yes you have to post that:love:.

Not as rare or exotic as some of the cars posted so far but this is my current ‘weekend’ toy when not out on a bike. Was going to sell it as I’d only done about 300 miles this year but it looks like that’s a lot compared to some here so I think I’ll hang onto it and see if I get more use of it next year.
