Breakfast@Glentress May 19th-20th

I am planning on being back on the Monster and May 18-20th looks as good a time as any to do B@G! Here is the plot.
Some of the long distance riders could come up Friday and stay in The Tontine Peebles Fri & Sat night as they have some rooms available. I will go up Friday stay the night and be at Glentress for anyone coming on Sat morning. Then we meet there again Sunday morning and wait for everyone like we did last year and ride to Hawick via the lochs and reservoirs again. So those who can't make the Hizzy run can meet up on Saturday instead of Sunday.

I spoke to Gordon at The Tontine a biker friendly guy! he has 7 rooms available and will do them for £65 per person DB&B for Friday AND Saturday inclusive and I thought that seemed very reasonable. He has garages at the rear to put the bikes in so there is secure parking as well.
He is not keen on letting the rooms for just Sat night as usually he can fill them for both nights. If you phone him he may come up with something.

Steve - not sure what you are meaning here, are you riding from Peebles, back over the Border into the Lakes then back into the Borders to Hawick - sorry fella probably me being dumb but I think it may need some clarification, no matter to me as I think I am racing that weekend !

I am riding up at a leisurely pace on Friday and staying at The Tonine in Peebles Friday evening and Saturday night. I have booked a room for both nights for a total of £65 Dinner, Bed & Breakfast which is the special deal I have negotiated specially for DuNners so when you phone for a room mention you are with the Ducati group! They are going fast as there is a golfing weekend on as well! Then packing up and riding to Glentress Sunday morning and down to Hawick. Anyone about on Saturday we are meeting and spending the best part of the day at Glentress then having a few bevvies Saturday night!
 
When Steve mentioned lochs, I think he meant St,mary's loch, Talla reservoir and Megget reservoir as this was the route we took last year.

You are right Duncan, I have changed it! I'm lookin' forward to a right ole rabbit with you again!
 
ill check the diary, saturdays a good day for me as the wife works it. ill prolly bring the mountainbike & do a few black runs, like RJ said would be ashame to not use the facilities.
