I have just returned from a weekend at BH and I have to say it was a superb weekend. The staff were all really friendly and very helpful and made us feel welcome from the girl on the gate Friday arrival to the guys ferrying us and other peoples gear about on hospitality buggys late on Sunday. The guys on the west side of the Paddock Hill stand were really good to me and made for a really enjoyable weekend. I want to go back next year as everybody was in an excellent mood even though the weather was a bit dodgy at times. the first time in 4 years:rolleyes:
A special thanks to DB, Doug, Phil, Bev, Kev, Mary and Walter and from me, you all made it a really good weekend for me, I needed it, thank you :)

It was one hell of a crash, I watched it live on TV, not good at all. I hear there have been criticisms of the marshals for not getting on track sooner, but FFS the bikes were coming round flat chat at that moment.

I watched the Eurosport coverage last night and right at the end they put up a 'In memory of Simon Jones 1985 - 2008' A big shock to me, I knew he was in a bad way, the last I heard he had woken up but I didn't know he had died.
It won't stop me wanting to go next year though.

I also had a great weekend. Weather just about held together for the racing and camping! It stayed dry for the important times of pitching the tents and packing up. We stayed dry except for poor Kev who sprung a leak and ended up sleeping in the car on our last night!

Also sorry to hear of Jones's death on the news this morning.

Mary took a quite a few pics and may post some up.

Thanks for a good weekend guys.

We were in Pit lane grandstand and had a clear view and it did seem to take an eternity for the marshals to react and get the red flag raised, but It was all a bit surreal. Had been a good weekend up until that point.

Twas indeed a cracking weekend. WSB at Brands always is but it was greatly overshadowed by the events surrounding Craig Jones.

It was my first time trackside since October last year which I did enjoy apart from the Supersport incident.

Here's a few samples I've put up elsewhere. Enjoy.

"If looks........" After his early exit from Superpole at Westfield... Glad I was 50yds away behind a barrier and a tree

Yes, another Surtees exit shot I know!!!, but when they do this for you, it's rude not to

He was this day.......

This is what makes Sunday even more difficult for me. This was probably one of Craig's finest races of his career. If you see where he is here in the background and then where is is in the next shot a few laps later......Tragic!!!

Brilliant pictures Mary!!!!

Looks like a great time was had by all, and the huge distances covered were worth it

was a terrible crash to watch on Tv, made me feel sick to the pit of my stomach, my heart goes out to his family who must be going through an awfull time.

As for The mighty Troy, he is my favourite rider of all time by a long shot. :)
